I was happy to see my mom smile when she shows up. I had felt the tension in Alex’s dressing room and feared they would have a fight and ruin everything.
We go to sit on the side of the stage, just out of sight for the audience.. best seats in the house no doubt. Kira is all excited and I feel proud that I can bring her to this.. I like making her happy.
Alex comes by on his way on stage and ruffles up my hair, before he gives mom a swift kiss. The smile on mom’s face is telling me this is the right thing.. Alex is no doubt the guy for her.. and I am happy to have him as my father.
