Melissa's POV

No one will ever be as good for this pack, this kingdom. I need to make Gray the King and rightfully so. He didn't need to get his own pack. He needed to be King.

I am in my room that is on the fourth floor of the pack house. Even though I sometimes share a room with Mark, this is my room. My room where I can be left alone for a bit.

I couldn't stop pacing back and fourth. I have to think of a way to get rid of him one way or another. Besides, I can't have his child, he will soon find out that I have a mate, and that I have been taking wolfsbane. How do I kill an Alpha King? They are stronger than most Alphas and this place is filled with Lycan blood that a normal wolf couldn't even come close to.

'You could triple the poison.' Grace purred. She is more wicked than I was.

'No. I am not going to do that. What happens if they trace it back to me? I Can't take that chance.' I rubbed my temples together. This was going to take some work. 'I could get one of our members over and have a party of some sort. There is supposed to be a small party soon. I could frame one of the others into doing it. I mean there are other Alpha's aiming for the throne.'

'How do you plan on getting them all here?' Grace grumbled.

I sighed and landed on the bed. There really is a problem. I have only a week. As everyone knows I am a soon-to-be Luna. I know they won't suspect me of any wrong doing. If they did, the whole council would be on me and every single Alpha would have the kingdom at its throat and there is all-out war. I know that my pack would not survive.

A single knock was at my door and a note slipped under it. I walked and picked up the note. It was carefully done with lilac paper and it smelled of honeysuckle.

'Luna Ceremoney' Grace growled. 'You both did not set an official date yet with the council'

It's Mark's mother's handwriting. Elegant and bold. I opened it and read:

Luna Ceremony will be held on December 15th. Please note this has come as a shock to us all. Alpha Mark of the Blood Moon Pack has found his Fated Mate. She will be introduced at the Luna Festivities a day prior to the ceremony. We ask that you cordially RSVP on November 14th to be here for December 12th to settle in.

My eyes widened. Who is she!? She ripped me of my title! Now there is a time frame where I can actually do this. I have until the 15th. The Luna Cermemony is when she will be marked and crowned Luna. Not unless I step in. There is no way he will produce an heir until after the ceremony. I have time.

I race over to my bag to take out my phone to call Gray. He will see that the plan to kill Mark has changed and I can give him the heads up. I am only to use this in case of emergencies.

"Gray, dear. We have a slight problem" I waste no time telling him excatly what is going on and what I am going to do.
