Eve’s POV
The next morning, Jade escorted me out of the mansion with Luna Jessica and two of her maids ahead of us, heading towards the convoy. Even today, it still felt surreal that Luna Jessica wanted me to go shopping with her.
“I still don’t think this is a good idea,” Jade said with a sigh and voice laced with concern and doubt as we neared the convoy. “You and Luna Jessica don’t exactly have the best history. Why is she suddenly inviting you out for a shopping trip? It feels…off.”
I sent Jade another reassurance smile, even though it didn’t really come from my heart. I was having the same thoughts as her. “I’ll be fine, Jade. It’s just shopping. Nothing can go wrong there, right?”
I was lying. Because the truth was that even I wasn't entirely sure what to expect.
