Eve’s POV
I blink away the tears that had welled up inside my eyes fast as I hurried upstairs while dragging my torn dress behind me. Thankfully, no one seemed to notice me.
Once I reached a room, I didn’t think twice before pushing it open and stepping inside. Once I was inside, I crumbed to the ground and allowed the tears to fall down my cheeks. My heart burned in anger and hatred.
Of course, I wasn’t surprised that Emilia had gone that length to embarrass me but I blamed myself for giving her the space to do that. And I blamed myself more for agreeing to attend this stupid party in the first place.
