Alexis POV

Rhae, Mrs. Harris, and I walked to the front door. We were going to support Chase with his shift, I couldn't wait to see his wolf Carson. No sooner then I stepped outside a huge wolf walked around the corner of my house. Carson was bigger then us, I had to look up just to see his chest. He was all black, he bowed his head towards me and nuzzled my neck. Carson had blue eyes where Chase had chestnut brown. I giggled as Carson continued to smell me. Then just as quickly he took off for a run.

Aura was completely bouncing around in my head. "Oh he is our mate, he's so amazing and I can't wait to get to know him." She said

"He might be our mate Aura, but we won't feel the bond yet." I replied to her, feeling a little sad that I still had days before I get to feel the bond. There was already a loneliness I felt without Chase near me. I knew that it just meant once we both felt the bond it would be really hard for either of us to be away from each other. The mate bond is very strong with each pair of wolves, but the stronger the wolf the stronger the bond is. Chase was an Alpha and I was to be his Luna. We all walked back inside to wait for Chase to come back.

It was about an hour before Chase got back. He walked through the back door and into the living room. His eyes landed on me when he came in, and walked straight to me. His smile wide as he neared me to sit beside me.

"Hello my beautiful mate." he said

With a giggle I said hello to him. I could see everyone looking at us all with the same smile on their face. I couldn't help but to blush knowing they were all looking at me. Chase sat down and his arm brushed mine sending sparks through my body. I knew he could feel those sparks stronger then I could, but I still felt comfort in it.

"I think we should talk some." He said to me

"I think we should too, but there is something else I want to talk about with everyone first." I replied

"What is it? Is everything alright?" Chase and Rhae both asked

"Yes everything is fine, but I was thinking we have some time with no one around and still deciding our next steps. I want to train. What do you guys think?" I asked

"Well to be honest, I think it's a great idea. I know I could use some training, and it'll help with our shift as well." Rhae commented

"I agree. We can start tomorrow if you guys want to. I was a warrior in my younger days at my pack. I can help with your training." Mr. Harris told us.

"So it's settled after breakfast we'll go to the pack house and start training. I'm sure they'll have some equipment there we could use." said Chase.

After that Mr. and Mrs. Harris went to bed. Rhae said she was going to shower and get ready for bed as well. That just left Chase and I to be able to have a conversation about the mate bond we shared. I never once thought about my mate until now, nor could I believe I was mated to an Alpha. The Moon Goddess wasn't kidding when she said there were big plans for me. I was unsure how any of this would work now.

"Chase, how is this going to work? I mean we lost our packs. Does this change you being an Alpha? We have no idea what's going to happen and how any of this is going to work now." I voiced my thoughts.

"I know this is all new to both of us. There is no certainty that we will be Alpha and Luna. I believe we should go to the council and discuss this with them. They will know what is next, who knows maybe we can settle somewhere and make that new pack of ours. What I do know though is you are my mate, and yes we just met but I can't see myself without you. I know you don't feel the bond yet though I would like to know how you feel about me." he said

"Well I know that just in the short amount of time that we have all been together. I find myself drawn to you, the mate bond may have some to do with that. I like you Chase and I want to spend as much time with you as I can." I told him truthfully.

"That's a start. I would love to spend more time with you as well. For now though I think I'm going to freshen up and get some sleep too. We'll need to be up early if we are going to train." He said.

We both stood up from the couch. I wanted him to kiss me right there in that moment. I don't know why we barely know each other, but I still want to feel his lips against mine. He looked at me with a small smile on his lips and began to lean toward me. He moved to whisper in my ear.

"I would love to kiss you right now my love, but now isn't the time."

"How did you know that was what I was thinking?"

"The bond and not to mention I was thinking the same thing." he responded.

We both went our separate ways after that. He went to freshen up as I went up to my room to get ready for bed myself. I could still feel the sparks that were between us. I walked into my room, Rhae was already in bed sleeping. I gathered up some of my clothes and went to the bathroom. The hot water was soothing all my muscles. I was never able to train before, the women in the pack had to wait for their wolves before they trained. I knew this was going to be rough on both Rhae and myself. Finished with my shower I went to bed ready to start the following day.

I had a peaceful sleep and the morning looked warm and clear. I crawled out of bed and noticed Rhae was already up and gone. I went downstairs to the kitchen ready to eat and start training. Everyone was up and making breakfast. Mr. Harris and Chase were sitting at the table discussing the training plans. Mrs. Harris and Rhae were cooking breakfast and Lily was watching television. I walked into the kitchen.

"Anything I can help with Mrs. Harris?" I asked

"Alexis please call me Ann and no. Rhae and I are almost finished. Lily come to the table please." She said.

Lily, Rhae, and I joined the guys at the table. We filled our plates and our stomachs. When we had all finished we cleaned up and headed to the pack house to start our training. I was excited to start learning how to defend myself. We walked over to the training grounds and found all the equipment we would need.

We were just getting into a position to start a stretch routine when we heard a vehicle approaching. Three people climbed out of the hummer and walked toward us. An owl, cat, and wolf also came out of the hummer. The owl took off to the woods but the cat and wolf came toward us. The cat stayed near the only female in the group, but the wolf walked closer to Rhae.

"My name is Lyric, we need to speak to the Alpha. It's urgent." the female said

"I'm Alexis, sorry but there is no longer an Alpha here. We were attacked a couple days ago and Rhae and I are the only ones left. We came across the rest of these guys the same day. Chase here was from one pack and the other three were from a different pack as well. We've all been attacked and the only survivors." I explained

"You're Wiccan." Rhae said petting the wolf absent-minded.

"We are, but not here to cause problems. My name is Chorus and that guy there is Verse. We're the royal triplets from Wanning Moon Coven. We were on our way to your council when we stopped at a nearby hotel. The guy there said people were going missing around here so we came to check the pack out. We were hoping for information on the rogue attacks." he told us

"Well maybe we should take this inside. I'm Chase and I'm of Alpha blood. I think we have alot to talk about." Chase said
