Alexis POV We waited around for hours to make sure that we no longer had anything in our system. I could kind of feel Aura in my head, but she still wasn't able to communicate with me. Lyric said she was able to unbind Sara's powers, and they were ready to move forward with the plan we had set on escape. We were just waiting for the right time to get out of here. We had to wait for the guards to come back, and we weren't sure when that would be. It was beginning to get real late at night, and we figured that the guards weren't coming back this time. My eyes were getting tired, and I wasn't sure how much longer I would be able to stay awake. I heard keys rattling and someone walking down the stairs. Then I heard a second set of footsteps, and I could only hope that it was another guard.
