Jayce's POV The sharp scent of food drifted toward me in my sleep. I sniffed, a slow smile spreading across my lips. I could still feel the warmth of Brielle’s body from last night, the way she’d gently laid me in bed and wrapped her arms around me. She’s back. She couldn’t bear to leave me at my worst. I hadn’t realized how much I’d missed her until I held her last night, begging her not to leave. Still smiling, I reached across the bed, expecting to find her hair or the curve of her waist.
