The rest of our weekend was spent quietly. Both our parents even came over one night for supper. It felt like absolute bliss having them all there spending some time with us. Bot our father’s tried intimidating poor Alex to the point Kaylee got mad at them and slightly raised her voice to make them stop.
As badly as I felt for Alex, seeing Kaylee defend him like that made me smile… And chuckle.
