Chapter 19

His lips feel heavenly on mine. I don’t want to stop. I want to keep going. I want to devour him. His touch, his scent, it’s intoxicating me, making me lose control of my own body. If I don’t stop soon, I won’t stop at all. We shouldn’t do this this fast. Oh, but I want to… “We have to stop…” I whisper out, my lips still on his. “I know.” He says, not stopping, holding my head in place. Grabbing my hips with both of his hands, he pulls me on top of him, making me straddle him, not leaving my lips alone for one second. He keeps his hands on each side of my face, tilting it slightly, spreading wet kisses along my ear, down my neck, nibbling at my skin, making it fire up. Tingles crawling throughout my own body, making me shiver. The movement of his lips is so sensual and calculated, making me want to tear off his shirt and take advantage of him. “We really need to stop…” I whisper out again. I can feel one of his warm, strong hands slipping under my shirt, making my breath hitch. “What if I don’t want to stop?” He whispers out against the naked skin atop my breast. “We need to stop. This is going to fast.” I say, making him freeze, his lips still against the top of my breast. Putting a little bit of space between us, I can see the slight panic in his eyes. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to make you feel like I was taking it too far too fast.” He says, looking guilty. “No, it’s not like that. I did, do like it. I just don’t think we should move this fast when I just said yes to give you a second chance. I don’t want to start our relationship like this. I want it to mean more than just sex.” I say, looking down. Feeling his finger underneath my chin, he pulls up my face slightly upward, making me look at him in the eyes. “I’m glad you told me to stop.” He says, sliding his thumb on my cheek, trying to comfort me.  “And that you told me why. I would never want to make you feel like I’m only after you for s*x. That would be the farthest thing from the truth. I do want so much more with you. I want to start our relationship the right way too. I guess I got carried away having your delicious lips on mine. I just couldn’t control myself.” He says, giving me another sweet but light kiss. Oh, why did my mind want me to stop?! Straighten up, he takes a look around. “Do you always run alone in the woods?” He asks. “Yeah, I love this place. Reminds me of home.” I tell him smiling with nostalgia in my heart. “True, it does look a lot like the place we used to hide out.” He says smiling at the memory.” I look at him from the side and remember how we use to have races. He would always try to better me, but I always won in the end. Smirking, I get up and turn to him. “I bet I can get out of the woods before you can!” I tell him, getting ready to run. He gives me a smug smile and places himself into a running stance. “Not a chance!” “On three.” “One… Two… THREE!” I yell out, starting half a second before him. Laughing, I hear him yelling from behind me. “You cheated! I’ll still catch you though!” He says, laughing also. Getting out of the forest, I feel lout of breath. I haven’t run this fast and this much in a long time. First running away from my ‘assailant’ than having a race with Mathieu. It was actually fun. But in the end, he caught up to me very quickly and past in front of me. “I told you I’d catch up to you.” He says, pushing a sweaty strand of hair away from my face. Bending down he gives me another wet kiss on the corner of my lips. “Ewwww, don’t kiss my sweaty face!” I exclaim, pushing him away from me. “Oh, come on. It’s not that bad.” He says with a playful smile. Looking at him smirking, I shake my head from side to side. “You're lucky I like you, mister,” I say, pulling my thong out at him.   ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Arriving back at home, I can keep the smile off my face. I head in the kitchen and pour myself a glass of water. “Mother” I hear Kaylee say behind me. “Do you have something to tell me?” She asks, crossing her arms, looking at me seriously. I’m having a hard time not to laugh at the way she’s looking at me, like a scolding mother. “And what would I have to tell you, darling daughter?” I ask, a little mockingly. “Are you seriously not going to tell me?” She says, sounding reproachful. Seeing as she’s serious and not liking her tone any longer, my face turns serious. “Kaylee, what’s going on?” I ask her seriously. “Mom, I know that guys, whatever he’s called when to find you.” She says to me. “Ok, and what’s your tone about?” I say. “Mom, why is he already showing up at home? Didn’t you tell me last night you didn’t know if you wanted to date him or not? I know I said I was ok with you wanting to start dating, but I wasn’t ready to see him showing up here yet.” She says with a frown on her face. Oh no! So that’s what this is about. Walking up to her, I take her in my arms. “I’m sorry sweet-pea, I didn’t know he was going to show up here,” I tell her, rubbing her back. “Did he find you?” She asks, staying in my arms. “Yeah, he did. He wanted to invite me for brunch, and showing up here was his way of thinking I wouldn’t say no.” I say, letting out a chuckle. “He is kin of good looking, mom.” She says, making me gasps in surprise. “Hey, I only said I wasn’t ready for him showing up here yet, not that I didn’t appraise him while he was.” She says. “And what did you think, about him? What’s your impression?” I ask, genuinely curious. “He’s got something he needs forgiving.” She says seriously. How can she know?! “What do you mean?” I ask, a bit confused. “I don’t know… It’s just the way he talked… He seems like he was trying a bit too much. Like he did something wrong and needs to be forgiven or something. I don’t know. He seems nice, but there’s something, mom.” She says. My sweet, insightful daughter. I should have known she sees right through him. “He is not the same man he used to be in high school and I am no longer the naïve girl from back then. We are both adults now, we can deal with our issues the right way this time.” I tell her. “What issues?” She asks, very curious. “It’s not important anymore. We are moving forward, not backward.” “But...” She begins to say. “No buts. Are you and Alex hanging out today?” I ask her, trying to change the subject. Seeing her blush, I already know the answer. “Yeah… He’s picking me up after lunch. Were going to the arcades and diner later. Is it ok?” She asks. “Yes, it’s fine. You know your curfew.” I tell her. “Yes, mom. I should get ready now.” She says, leaving the kitchen. Taking out my phone, I decide to text Mathieu. -Hey, I need to ask you something. -Hi beautiful, miss me already? ;P What a condescending man! -Can you be serious for a second, please… -Is everything ok? Are you alright? -Could you not show up at my house? My daughter felt a bit uncomfortable seeing you today. We only talked about me started dating again last night, and she was shocked that you showed up today… -Oh my god!!! I’m so sorry!!! I never meant to make her feel so uncomfortable! “facepalm” I didn’t even think about what your daughter would think about me showing up at your house! Please tell her I’m sorry and I won’t go until she and you feel it’s the right time to properly meet. I’m so sorry!! :’( I knew he would understand. I tell myself smiling. Knowing Kaylee will be out until later tonight, I get an Idea. -Do you have any plans today? -Not really, why?” -Want to go paintballing? ;D -Oh, heck yeah! :D
