I feel my heart light and calm. I haven’t felt this peaceful in such a long time.
Laying on a soft blanket, basking in the sun, feeling a light breeze on my warm delicate skin. Listening to the crashing wave, I feel peaceful.
I never want to leave this place.
“You look beautiful” I hear a familiar voice say from behind me.
Lifting my head backward, I see the person I’ve longed to see in the past year.
“Michael!” I say, as he bends down and places himself behind me, curling his arms around my waist, holding me tightly, and giving me a sweet lingering kiss on the forehead.
“I’ve missed you so much, my love.” He says to me, making me tear up.
“I’ve missed you too, so much” I whisper out, placing my hands on his arms, squeezing him to make sure I’m not imagining him being here with me.
