Talking with Sabrina

1018 Words
Alex's POV "I'm sorry for scaring you like I did, I just wanted the opportunity to speak to you alone without the other girls present." Sabrina said, as she moved out of the doorway and over to one of the beds so that we could relax as we talked for a while. "I should have done this a few weeks ago when you first introduced yorself but I was sacred to approach you and say something you wouldn't like" I stood there shocked by her words because I didn't know what she was talking about at all. "There is nothing that you could say that would make me upset or anger me in any way." I reassured her as I was also getting into the bed that I was using. "but I am curious to know what you mean when you said that as I dont feel like I am a very intimidating person." "Well, your aura is very intimidating. I believe it comes from the fact that you are a mix of two very powerful beings." She commented. "And how do you know that I am not fully a werewolf?" I asked. "Firstly, you smell like a wolf but there is also another scent mixed with it, which I believe might be of a magical nature. Although, it has been a very long time since I encountered a witch or warlock, so I could be wrong about the scent." She explained. "And secondly, my wolf Becca is very submissive when I am near you. All she keeps saying to me is that I must submit to you as my Alpha." I found her statement to be very odd because even though I'm not fully versed in werewolf hierarchy, I do know that an alpha is what they call the leader of a pack. That is at least what I learned from my dad, who helped to teach me a little bit about werewolves and how the structure of the pack works. "I must confess, I have never met another werewolf before, to be honest. It's kind of exciting for me to meet someone who is like me." As I said that, Sabrina's eyes opened wide like saucers and I thought she was going to faint from the utter shock of my statement. "You have never met another werewolf? Like never ever? Have you been living under a rock for all of your life? That seems very unlikely that you have never met another werewolf in your entire life! Like I just dont even see how that is possible......" Sabrina started to ramble and ask so many questions that my brain could not process everything. I take a deep breath and walk over and sit on her bed as I place my hands on her shoulders and look directly into her eyes to help get her to calm down as much as possible. "Woah, Sabrina, Sabrina! Calm down, I will explain what I can, but please understand that I can't tell you everything about me as I am still learning things about myself and what it means to be a werewolf. But I will answer any question you have, you just have to be patient with me and understand that this is all still very new to me." I told her as I helped to calm her down. After Sabrina took a few deep breaths and composed herself, she stared straight at me and asked how it was possible that I had never met another werewolf in my life before today. "I honestly don't really know how that is possible. All my parents told me is that I would be able to smell another werewolf when they are close. They never introduced me to any wolves that I am aware of, and from what I know they have a very strong smell of nature or earth. Kind of like you do now. Although I do find it strange that ever since I arrived here my senses have been better than they were before I was kidnapped." I commented. "So you're saying you have never smelled another werewolf before today? When did you get your wolf? Because I know that most werewolves' senses aren't fully developed until their very first shift. And if you just got your wolf recently, then that would make sense." Sabrina says. "I was 10 when I first got my wolf." I said, and again Sabrina looked at me with surprise. "But if what you said is true, then I should have been able to sense other wolves from that time up until now. But I haven't, at least not to my knowledge anyway." "Yes, you should have, at least that's what I know from my own experiences and from when I first shifted." she said. Something about what she said doesn't make any sense at all right now, because for the last 6 years I have not been able to smell or sense any other werewolves close to me. I really wanted to meet one when I moved to America because then I might be able to learn more about myself and my heritage. I felt like we had talked enough about me for the night and I wanted to get to know Sabrina a little more and to know how she ended up here, so I changed the subject and veered the conversation away from me. "I guess my wolf wasn't fully developed. Anyway, enough about me. I want to know more about you. How did you end up in a place like this? And how long have you been here?" I asked. "Well, I.... um... changed places with my younger sister and volunteered to take her place in coming here." she said almost in a whisper as if she was ashamed to tell me what led her to coming here. "You changed places with your sister?" I gasped out in surprise. "What would make you do something like that?" I asked, definitely wanting to hear more of Sabrina's story.
