Getting Settled

Alexandra's POV Walking into the new house was like walking through Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. Everything was brightly colored and a little over the top in some rooms. It seemed like previous owners couldn't decide on one specific color theme for the entire house, so they decided to make every room different. We all looked around for about 15 minutes when I finally came to a bedroom on the second floor. This room looked so big that I was sure it was the master suite. "Mom, Dad. I think I found the master suite for you guys." I yelled at my parents, who I believed were still on the first floor of the house. My parents came running up the stairs to see which room I was referring to and as soon as they stepped in they both immediately turned to me with a look of confusion. "Sweetie, this is not the master suite. This is your bedroom if you want it to be. Our room is actually down the hall a little further." My dad says. "How can this not be the master suite, its HUGE!" I exclaimed as I did a double take of the room. Compared to the room I had back home, this one was almost twice the size. I stepped further inside when I noticed there were two different doors off to the right side of me. I opened the first one and was surprised to see a massive walk-in closet with all sorts of shelf space for any type of clothing imaginable. The second door opened into a bathroom that was just as big as the closet. Looking around the bathroom, I noticed the huge floor to ceiling walk-in shower stall with shower heads imbedded into the ceiling and both of the side walls. "This is absolutely amazing." I said as I continued to stare at the shower. "You just like the shower?" my mother teases me. "YES..... I mean no..... wait.... that didn't come out right" I giggled as I regained my composure and started explaining myself again. "I actually love everything about this room and the attached rooms. They are breathtakingly beautiful. Well, all except the color." I told my mother and father as they were staring at me. The walls in the room are painted a green color that was somewhere in between lime green and pea green with some random lines that were also painted in a very unusual pattern. "If you are not happy with the color of the room, we can paint it. Like I know we are already going to do to the rest of the house anyway." my father says while looking at my mother. "You knew that before we moved because I told you that we would be painting the house no matter what the inside looked like." My mother shot back at him giving him a hard stare. "When are the movers coming with the rest of our things from the house?" I asked, wanting to know if there was any time for us to paint all of the rooms before any of the furniture was set in place. "They should be here in 3 days." My father stated. "Good, that will give us enough time to repaint all the rooms in the house to the colors that we all want." I said happily. One week later All of our hard work painting the house was finally finished and now I was sitting in my room thinking about all the people from back home that I missed. Abby was the person I thought about the most, well except for my crush. I started to daydream about him more and more the longer I was away from him. It was too bad that I would never get to see his short blonde hair again, which was usually a little messy from how many times he ran his fingers through it. His deep blue eyes that shone like diamonds across the ocean. His perfectly tanned skin which complimented his well toned body. The more I think about him, the more I start to feel a desire to be close to him. I closed my eyes and started to think about even more details about him, like what his voice sounded like or the way he used to glance my way when we would all be outside for exercise, or the scent of his cologne, which to me is the most intoxicating smell of fresh rain and eucalyptus..... Just then, I opened my eyes and shot up. That mysterious yet familiar smell the day at the airport was the same cologne that he always wore, but it couldn't be him. He lived in Australia, didn't he? It had to just be a coincidence and someone else in the airport happened to be wearing the same cologne as he was. Yeah, that had to be it. Then again, could it be possible that he wasn't from Australia at all? I mean he did speak with a very different accent after all. I grabbed my computer and decided I would get on my f*******: account and do a little research on him. After what seemed like hours of searching, I finally turned off my computer in defeat and tried to relax a little before going to sleep. I found it very strange that I couldn't find anything about him online, and I mean anything like he doesn't even exist. I tried to put my mind at ease and forget about him for tonight. I needed to get as much sleep as possible because mom was taking me to the school tomorrow to finally register for my junior year of high school.
