It is funny how easy it is to ignore some things when you have too much on your mind.
How you can even turn off the switch that controls your pain and put it as a second thought to be dealt with later...
Maybe it’s because I knew that dealing with Alpha Logan and the Elders was not going to be easy, and I wanted to appear like the regal and strong woman I am. Maybe that’s why I ignored all the signs my body was giving me that I was reaching my limit.
What did I think? I had just been rescued from two weeks of suffering, with my body being mauled in all the most horrible ways possible, with barely any food or water, just to go on and exert myself once again using my Siren abilities and everything I had left to fight a bunch of vampires and be sure Logan’s pack was unharmed.
