My loud laugh echoed throughout the cavernous space but died abruptly when I noticed nobody else was laughing. It wasn't a joke.
Liora's words were still ringing in my head. It didn't make sense. Nothing made sense, to be honest. My head was swarming with different thoughts, and it was simply impossible to focus on just one thing.
With every new word that came out of her mouth, ten more questions popped up in my head. I need more explanations. Her words only made me more confused and doubtful about everything.
“Are you telling me I am some sort of Supreme being?” I asked, turning to look at her. The expression on my face is a mixture of incredulity and confusion. I am more lost and confused than ever before.
