I never thought I would love staring so much at her captivating purple eyes. They were glowing a dazzlingly light purple as if she was about to use her powers—or had just done so.
Without breaking eye contact, she slowly got up, detaching herself from my embrace and creating distance between us. It took a lot of self-control not to reach out for her and pull her body back against mine once more. The cold feeling left by the short distance seemed to spread through my body quickly, leaving a cold sensation all over.
It appeared that every time I got a little closer to her, our bond got stronger, which meant it would become harder to keep my distance, and the more I would yearn for her. Keeping these new feelings at bay was proving to be a challenge.
