Texente Tela Veneris This is the newest story in the book...in a way. “Texente Tela Veneris" actually started life as a short play, which I wrote for On the Line: A Freefall Through New Work, a program Globe Theatre (mentioned earlier in connection with “The Path of Souls”) ran for a few years, in which a director and group of actors did staged readings of new fifteen-minute scripts. When I was approached to submit a story to Planetary: Venus (Superversive Press), edited by A. M. Freeman and L. Jagi Lamplighter, one of a series of planet-themed anthologies (the theme extending not only to the physical planet but to their mythological namesakes), I realized that what was then called “The Weaver" could be adapted into a story about the goddess Venus. And here's the result!
