Chapter 3: The Girl Everyone Wanted
Before Damson Harrington walked into the club, there was already a queen on the stage.
Her name was Stormi, but everyone knew her as Storm.
Storm was a stunning lady. She had a face that looked like an angel and a smile that made men forget their own names. But that beauty was just a cover. Beneath her pretty face, Storm was as tough as nails. She didn't trust people, and she didn't believe in love. The only thing Storm loved was money; hard cash.
She wasn't always this way. Storm was an only child who once had a normal home. But when she was young, her parents got a divorce that destroyed everything.
Her mother left the family with another man who had more money. After that, her father decided he didn't want to be a parent anymore either. He abandoned Storm, leaving her with nobody to look after her.
Left with no one to help her, Storm had to find a way to take care of herself.
As soon as she was old enough, she met Miss Raine, who was the manager of the famous club- Club Eden.
She saw how beautiful Storm was and knew she would bring a lot of money. She offered her a job, and Storm took it because she was tired of being poor.
Storm quickly learned that her beauty had an advantage.
She became very good at "the game." She learned how to act like she was interested in the men who came to the club, even though she didn't care about them at all.
She would smile, listen to their stories, and make them feel like they were the most important people in the room.
It was all a trick to get them to spend more money.
She became very deceitful. She knew exactly what to say to get what she wanted. To Storm, these men were just a way to build the bank account she never had growing up.
She used them for their money, and she didn't feel bad about it. She felt that since her parents had let her down, she had to look out for herself above everyone else.
Even though she was tricky, every man who walked into the club asked for her. They were under her spell. They would wait in line for hours just to talk to her or watch her on stage.
They spent a lot of money just to be near her, and even when they went home broke, they would come back the next night hoping for another chance to see her.
By the time she met Damson, Storm was the star of the show. She was used to being in control and getting exactly what she wanted. She thought she knew everything about men and money. She had no idea that her life was about to take a very different turn.
Storm walked into the girls' changing room and shut the heavy door. The room was small and crowded. It smelled like strong perfume, hairspray, and cheap cigarettes.
A few other dancers were sitting on benches, taking off their high heels and doing their makeup. The loud music from the club still made the walls shake, but in here, it was a little quieter.
As soon as Storm sat down at her makeup table, the room went dead silent.
Every girl in there stopped what they were doing to look at her. They had all seen the manager lead Storm to the private VIP room with that tall, handsome stranger. They knew something big had happened.
Lexi, who had been dancing at the club for a long time, walked over to Storm.
Lexi was always curious and loved to know everyone’s business. She leaned against Storm’s table and looked at her through the mirror.
"Okay, spill it," Lexi said. "Who was that guy? We saw him walk in, and he looked like he was worth a hundred million dollars.
Miss Raine said he paid a crazy amount of money just to be alone with you in the back. What happened?"
Storm tried to act like she didn't care. She opened her small bag and pulled out the check for five thousand dollars. She set it on the table so all the girls could see it.Lexi’s jaw dropped .
"Fifty thousand dollars?" Lexi screamed, her voice was high and shaky. "Storm! Nobody pays fifty thousand dollars for a dance! Is he crazy? Who is he?"Storm started to wipe the glitter off her neck.
"He didn't tell me his name. He was very tall and sexy. He didn't even want a dance at first. He just sat there and stared at me. He said he would give me that money just to take off my mask and show him my face."
"Just to see your face?" another girl asked, coming closer to look at the check.
"That is insane. He must be really rich."
Lexi grabbed her phone. She started typing fast. "Wait a minute. The guys by the bar were whispering. They said he looked familiar. They said he looked like that billionaire from the news."
Lexi stopped typing and showed her phone to Storm.
On the screen was a picture of the same man from the VIP room, but he was wearing a very expensive suit and standing in front of a giant building."That’s him," Storm whispered, her heart skipping a beat.
"That’s Damson Harrington!" Lexi shouted. "Storm, do you know who that is? He is one of the richest men in the whole world! His father owns Harrington's Towers. He has billions of dollars
He is famous for being mean and cold. He never goes to clubs like this. People say he only cares about work and making more money."Storm looked at the picture on the phone and then at her own face in the mirror. She was confused.
"If he is that rich, why was he here? Why did he look so lonely? He could have any woman he wants. Why pay fivebthousand dollars to see a girl like me?"
"Maybe he’s tired of the fake women at his fancy parties," Lexi suggested.
"But listen, Storm. A man like that is not like the other guys we trick for money. He is a shark. If he is interested in you, he won't stop until he gets what he wants. You need to be careful."
Storm didn't feel scared, though. She felt excited. She thought about her childhood—how her mom left and her dad walked away, leaving her with nothing.
She had spent years lying to men and taking their money just to survive. Now, the biggest prize in the world had just walked into her life.
"I don't care if he is a shark," Storm said, her voice turning cold and sharp.
"If he has billions, then I want a piece of it. He wants to see more of me? Fine. But it’s going to cost him a lot more than five thousand dollars next time.”
Storm looked at the check one last time before tucking it away. She was eager to find out more. She wanted to know where he lived, what he liked, and how she could make him stay obsessed with her. She was going to use every trick she knew to make sure Damson Harrington kept coming back.
"He thinks he's the boss," Storm told the other girls with a small, mean smile.
"But in this club, I'm the one in charge. Let's see how much he's willing to pay to keep me."
The other girls started talking all at once, dreaming about what they would do with that much money. But Storm wasn't dreaming. She was already making a plan.
