Crystal awoke before dawn, her heart racing as if she had been running through dreams she couldn't remember.
The chill in the room clung to her skin but the warmth inside her burned steadily...silent, watchful, awake.
Her wolf stirred restlessly beneath the surface, pacing like a caged beast.
