Destined Ones

“All right! I'll go. But please, don't face the demon on your own.”, asks Romero, leaving to get some help. Wellington's group keeps walking round and round, with no signal of life, tired of looking for something they'll never find. “Do you think they are closer to finding the demon than us?”, asks Camila, bored. “Hope not, because you know Luana, she'll try to solve the case on her own.”, Wellington answers, worried. “You should not fight with her everytime, Welly. She is an adult like you and both are mature enough to deal with a dangerous situation.”, Larissa protects her cousin. “I am the oldest and responsible for everybody. I have to protect this family.”, Wellington admits. “She likes to give orders and not receive them, Welly.”, comments Cecilia rationally. Wellington is about to reply, but a shadow cuts off: “Shhh, someone is coming. I'm going to protect us with an invisible shield.” “Where are you? Why Hell needs to look like a nightmare?”, wreaks Romero. “Oh! It is just Romero. We are safe.”, says Cecilia, catching her breath. “Who said that?”, Romero asks, looking around and suspecting that someone is watching him. Wellington undoes the camouflage and touches Romero. “AHHHHH, you startled me!”, Romero turns around and sees Wellington's group. “What happened? Why are you alone? Did you split up unnoticed?”, asks Larissa, worried. “We found the demon, I guess.”, answers Romero. “Do you think?”, asks Cecilia, bored. “I don't know what we saw, but he was dressed in a black disguise and speaking in a strange language.”, explains Romero. “What about the girls?”, Wellington asks, suspecting the worst. “I believe the right path starts here, but we need to hurry and warn Glaucio's group.”, Romero leads Wellington and his group. “Did you leave your group by yourself?”, Camila is curious. “I had no choice, I tried to leave this task to Simone, but Luana picked me to warn you.”, Romero confesses. “I knew it!”, says Cecilia, smiling. But everyone is serious: “I mean... I knew my sister would find the demon first.” “Go ahead, and I'll call Glaucio.”, Wellington alerts, preparing to gleam out. In the demon's cave, Luana, Simone, and Sabrina are hidden spying on Kvrox. Luana is uncomfortable and decides to face the demon alone: “I'll go!”, Luana says impatiently. “What are you doing? Come back!”, Simone is worried about her sister. “Face the demon, of course.”, answers Luana. “Have you lost your mind? We need to wait for the right moment!”, Sabrina disagrees. “Exactly! Both of you wait for them while I go. You never know, but maybe it can escape as soon as everybody arrives here. I need to do it.”, Luana doesn't change her mind. “But Lua...”, Simone tries to pull her sister back, but it is too late. Luana is behind the demon's back. Carefully, she walks silently to the demon. “Luana Miller... the second one, of course. Because the first one is dead.”, greets Kvrox with its back to her. Luana is surprised because she had never met the demon before: “You must be the famous demon who likes to kill witches, huh?”, she asks sarcastically. “I don't know if your mom told you, but there is a bond between us nowadays.”, Kvrox comments. “And what are you expecting from me? Flowers? I am not here for that!”, stares Luana. “I was just waiting for your arrival and I know your little group is present too. You are not an ordinary witch and wouldn't hide for anything.”, Kvrox starts the intimidation. “How...?”, Luana tries to ask, but she is cut off. “Do I know you?”, Kvrox ends the question. “I can read minds and I have allies.” “You won't leave here so soon!”, Luana fights back. “You are funny. I want to know what your face will look like once I finish your family.”, Kvrox screams angrily. “Oops! It won't happen because I'll vanquish you first.”, Luana prepares herself to attack. “No one can vanquish me and you're just one witch.”, Kvrox laughs at her. “If I were you, I wouldn't be so sure.”, Luana faces it using her telekinesis with her left hand to throw the demon against the wall, but Kvrox moves quickly and reprises the attack. Luana is thrown against the wall and falls unconscious. “The spell turned against the sorcerer, or should I say, witch? (laugh) I told you I could read minds.”, repeats Kvrox sarcastically. Simone can't stand being hidden anymore and runs to help her sister. Kvrox makes the same movement and throws her away where she falls unconsciously on the other side of the cave. Luana wakes up and tries to stand up, with wobbly legs: "No one (breathe), no demon will be able to survive to end my storyline. Miller is stronger than any of you and we'll keep our family legacy alive to end all the evil and cure the innocents!”, Luana recovers her energy and courage. “Do you think I am easy to vanquish? Your ancestor used all of her powers against me, but she couldn't vanquish me completely. She has just banished me, and look, I'm back. A weak Twitch like you is not able to vanquish me easily.”, Kvrox prepares to throw a fireball, but its attack is blocked by someone: “She is not alone, lazy demon.”, Wellington shows up with his orbing shield. Kvrox tries to attack again, but its attack goes back to it. Luana runs to save her sister's life: “Wake up, Simaria. I'm sorry.”, says Luana, feeling guilty about everything. Simone recovers her consciousness and gets up slowly. “When are you going to obey me?”, Wellington asks, disappointed in Luana. Kvrox starts throwing fireballs randomly to hit someone by chance. Glaucio deflects one of the fireballs back to the demon, Larissa does the same and the triplets guard their cousins. Simone, Luana, and Wellington go next to the others to start casting the spell. “Oh, of course(laughs) twelve. Enough to feed me.”, Kvrox says confidently. From left to right are the triplets, Romero, Glaucio, Sabrina, Larissa, Camila, Cecilia, Simone, Wellington, and Luana. “You are not here to vanquish me, are you?!”, Kvrox is waiting for its award. “This is what we are going to see!”, Luana answers, optimistically. The Destined Ones start casting the spell created by them; Twelve we are and evil must be kicked. Purge them away and make evil cease to exist. Kvrox is covered with blue flames, Hellfire: ”You may have defeated me now, but millions of other demons will take revenge on you. All of Hell will know the name Destined Ones when I return to finish you all off. I'll be back!”, Kvrox threats for the last time. The Destined Ones keep chanting the spell, waiting for the demon to be consumed by the flames and leave no traces. “And the nightmare is over.”, says Cecilia, relieved. “The Mationi Power.”, says Luana, smiling. “Yep! The Destined One's gift.”, confirms Glaucio. “A great spell, huh?!”, opines Wellington, glamorizing. “Agree.”, Simone is happy to hear that. “Is it just me or that psychopathic demon thinks he's going to come back to life to finish us off?”, asks Cecilia, dizzy and everybody laughs at her. “Yes, this is the first demon we vanquished together. I mean, all of us.”, says Sabrina, pointing to herself and everyone. “The first of many. I guess.”, Romero completes. “Did you hear the word that the demon said?”, asks Tamires. “What?”, asks Teresa. “He said something about Destined Ones and...”, Tamires answers, thoughtfully. “It is like they know us here in Hell.”, Wellington smiles. “Wow, I liked it.”, comments Tatiana. “I have a great idea. What about changing the spell's name to Destined Ones?”, suggests Larissa. “One more wish for our list. Great idea, Lari.”, Luana agrees. “I know we are great now and we should be celebrating our first victory as Destined Ones, but let's go home, I'm starving, aren't you?”, Glaucio asks and waits for a positive answer. Everyone takes each other's hands and disappears beaming, others gleaming. Two demons show up in the same hallway as the Destined Ones. “Are you sure it is here?”, asks Sabne, suspicious. “Yes! I found it while I was looking for something... it doesn't matter.”, answers Dalia entering a hellish garbage dump. “There it is!”, says pointing to the cage: “Can you fix it for me, Sabne?“ “It will be an extensive work, you know, as it was built by...”, Sabne tries to answer, but it is cut off: “I KNOW who built it! I just want to know if it can be fixed or if you prefer to turn into dust and I will call another demon to do the job.”, offers Dalia. “Don't worry, I'll try my best to make this cage look as good as new.”, promises Sabne. “Maybe I am not wasting my time with you. I've waited too long to find out who I am and my destiny. I need and deserve to be a leader because I was born for that! They'll know my name as the new Dark Lord and be stronger than the past ones. Now that I have found a way to take off their powers, I can't miss this opportunity.”, says Dalia, determined. At 4PM, Luana is talking to a K-pop manager on the phone: “Look, why don’t we meet tomorrow for business and to know each other well? I really would love to have BABYMONSTER singing in my nightclub.”, invites Luana: “Great, then we will meet tomorrow, bye.”, and ends the call. 4PM is crowded, and a local artist is playing her song, Larissa Vitorino, energizes young people on the dance floor. Next to VIP tables are Camila, Glaucio, and Sabrina chatting about their daily routine. On the dance floor are Wellington, Romero, Cecilia, and Tamires. And at the bar are Tatiana, Simone, and Larissa, while Teresa puts out some drinks and tidbits. “I need to bring them here!”, Luana talks to herself. “Bring who?”, asks Teresa. “BABYMONSTERmanager.”, answers Luana, and the girls go crazy after hearing one of their favorite band names. “AHHHHH, I love them! AHHHHH!”, screams Larissa. “Everybody loves them. Who don't know them, don't know what they are losing.”, Tatiana calms her cousin down. “Yeah!”, agrees Luana, drinking a cup of wine: “They have been famous internationally since their first album and I need something attractive to call more clients.” “Or you want to trap people inside 4PM?”, Simone changes her sister's comment. “Both.”, Luana answers, determined. “I don't know you, but I don't want to spend this night sitting, doing nothing. I'm going to the dance floor.”, Larissa says leaving the counter. “I'll go with you.”, Tatiana asks for an excuse. “I know that you have to work, but I can cover your place if you want. Go ahead and I'll take care of the bar.”, Luana offers some help. “Thanks for your offer, but I am not good enough to dance. Maybe another time.”, thanks Teresa. “I'm going to stay a little. I don't want to lose my college time.”, Simone is tired, but she wants to celebrate for a few more minutes. “Are you sure you don't want to leave now? You look exhausted.”, asks Luana, worried. “You are right, but I promised Cecilia that I'd take her home.”, remembers Simone. “I am the club manager and her sister too. I have a car, and a first aid box for a situation like now. Go home and don't forget to turn off the lights. (smile)“, insists Luana. “See you tomorrow then.”, Simone says goodbye, going towards the exit door. The local band keeps playing their famous music track ♫ Repara que a onda balança e leva.
