The Mationi Power

Luana looks at the map and sees where the pendulum is pointed: “Well, you won't believe it, but the crystal stopped here... in the Manor...”, Luana answered and a cry for help is heard: “AHHHHH” Everyone hears the same scream echoing outside the Miller Mansion and hurries over to see what's going on. In the kitchen, the girls making potions also hear the scream. “What was that?”, asked Larissa, worried. “Someone in a panic, of course.”, Cecilia answered, sarcastically. “Yes, I know, but...”, Sabrina reminds her cousin who is outside. “...who?”, she asked, leaving the kitchen. “Are you fine? I heard screaming.”, Luana shows up asking worriedly. “Oh my, you scared me!”, answered Cecilia, feeling her heart coming out of her mouth. “We are doing great, but Tamires is outside.”, Larissa alerts her cousin about the chat from minutes ago. “Really? That is not good. Let's go!”, calls Luana mad to fight. Glaucio, Wellington, and Larissa follow Luana to the courtyard. When getting there, they see Tamires tied to a tree, and she tries to cry for help, but she can't because she is paralysed by fear. “You are not going to escape this time, witch!”, Gorbe shouted snobbily. Tamires tries to gleam out unseen, but the Hellfire around her blocks her body's energy and is getting weaker with every minute. The demon throws a light ball against her and Tamires tries to deflect it, but is hit in her left shoulder, leaving traces of third-degree wounds. Although she is hurt, she still tries to escape from the tree and pretends to have the courage to face the demon until help comes: “You are not going to get out of here alive!” “It is a great comment for someone who is tied to a tree.”, Gorbe disagrees sarcastically and is ready to attack again. “I wouldn't be so sure about it!”, Luana calls the demon's attention. “You are next!”, Gorbe fights back, noticing the witches' arrival. “Everyone says the same comment. It never gets old.”, Glaucio whispered to himself. Luana doesn't think twice. She uses her arms as an extension to use her telekinesis and throws the demon against a tree. Instead of doing what she had planned, something different and a big surprise happened. The demon blows it up and leaves no traces of its existence. “When did you get this gift?” Glaucio asked, amazed. Everyone is looking at Luana with an ‘Oh my God!' facial expression. “I... I don't know.” Luana answered desperately and nervously. Her hands are glowing like flames. “Thank God I am not a demon.”, Tamires comments while others try to help her. “Tami, are you hurt? I think it is better for you to get inside, and we'll take care of your wounds.”, Sabrina says, helping her cousin to stand up. In the welcoming room, everyone expects an answer from the ones outside facing a demon. “Keep calm, honey. They are probably fine.”, Andrew motivates his wife, who is anxious and worried about her kids. “What if... And...? Oh my love, what if the demon...?”, Louise asks, thinking about the worst scene. The back door opens and everyone goes to the kitchen to see their kids. “My little bug, are you feeling well? Amem, my Lord!”, Luna says, hugging her daughter tightly. “I am not little, but I'll be if you don't let me go. You are making me choke, Mom.”, answered Tamires, almost choking without air. “Oh, sorry honey.”, Luna apologises to her daughter for her intuitive actions. “I'm fine Mom, don't worry. I need a little help, could you?”, Tamires asked, showing her wounds. Luna is startled by the wound on her daughter's shoulder but doesn't think too much about it and starts to heal it. “Anyway, what happened, and why did Luana run upstairs?”, Tatiana asked, curious. “Maybe she is shocked by the demon attacking a Miller for the first time.”, answered Larissa, thoughtful. “Yeah! And it was a low-level demon, but it hit Tamires and left some wounds.”, Wellington comments, looking at his cousin. “But I'm sure Tamires was strong enough to deal with it while the help was coming.”, Luna applauds her daughter. “I forgot to tell you that Lua was responsible for the demon's death.”, Tamires surrenders. “She blew it up.” “Wait, what?”, Lucinda asked to confirm that she heard was right. “Yes, Mom! Lua blew up the demon to ashes.”, Wellington checks his cousin's information. “It is better to check with the Archangels to know more about it.”, Glaucio leaves gleaming out. “I'll go with him.”, says Luna, leaving the room, gleaming out. “And I'm going to see how my sister is dealing with her new ability.”, Simone runs upstairs. In the attic, Luana is hidden in a storage corner walking around: “It is not possible. How could I? Why now? I already know how to control my cryokinesis and telekinesis, and they want me to deal with this gift like an atomic bomb?”, complains Luana discretely: “Of course, everything happens for a reason, but what?” “Luana? It is me, your sister.”, calls Simone, looking for her: “Where are you? We can help you! Do you remember when I was learning to control my gifts, and you helped with it? So.” “Go away, sis! I don't want to hurt you!”, shouts Luana, crying. “You can hide for a long time. Besides, I can use my gift to explore your unconscious or use a track-down spell to find you. Either way is out of privacy.”, Simone threats, gently. “All right, fine. But don't tell me I told you so.”, says Luana, leaving her hide-place. “Now. Are you feeling okay?”, asked Simone, smiling to cheer up her sister's spirit. “How do you think I am feeling now? It is clear!”, answered Luana, walking around, worried, stressed, confused about herself, and accidentally breaking an old lamp that was in a corner. “Wow, wow. Wait a minute. Hold on!”, Simone helps her sister to control herself: “Could you, please, stop with that? You are driving me insane!” “Calm down? I've just blown up a demon and a lamp! The demon deserved that, but I've never blown up anything or anyone. I am stressed down.”, grumbles Luana. “This is not the end of the world. And a new gift is good. It means you're been promoted by them to do something.”, Simone motivates her sister. “What if I kill someone, unconsciously? I could blow up you, Cecilia, or even my daughter without noticing!”, Luana is disturbed by everything. “Take on easy, at least until they come here to have a serious conversation.”, Simone sits down next to her sister. “What are you doing here? I thought you were outside.”, asked Lucinda: “I know it sounds crazy, but the same happened to me when I received this gift. It is called a cosmic explosion.” “This is not the name, Lucy.”, Loren comments, laughing at her sister. “I know it is not, but I got disturbed like her too. I got used to it, but when I was pregnant with Welly, instead of a cosmic explosion, he made me create some flowers.”, says Lucinda, laughing about the past event. “How did you do to control it?”, asked Luana, wiping her tears. “Firstly, I had my sister's support. I started doing breathing exercises and meditation to calm down. After that, I concentrated on practicing my new gift through art and, finally, I could use it in a mission to vanquish some demons. The best alternative to using this gift without worrying is against demons because even if you are unstable, your ability will work.”, suggests Lucinda. “You'll learn to control this gift. You'll see.”, Louise encourages her daughter. “True. This gift is awesome! I wish I could have it.”, agrees Cecilia. A radiant blue-green light shows up moulding two silhouettes: “Hi! What's up?”, asked Glaucio, waiting for a positive answer. “We are fine now.”, Loren answers, looking at her niece, Luana. “The Archangels said that Luana is one of the characters written in a book of prophecies and every ten years she'll receive a new gift. She needs to use this new gift and get used to it because later she'll receive a new one and so on. Their goal is to turn Luana as powerful as any chosen one to change the magic history.”, Luna explains a short story about who Luana is and why she received this new gift. “And the weird name is molecular combustion telekinesis. Also, you can call it just molecular combustion or molecular telekinesis. But you can call it whatever you want. That's it.”, Glaucio finishes with hand gestures. “I told you I could call it whatever I want. To me it is a cosmic explosion.”, Lucinda commented, looking at her sister. “They could have talked to me instead of surprising me in a dangerous situation.”, Luana complains, disturbed and looking up. “When you received the cryo gift, you didn't complain like that.”, Wellington comments, sarcastically. “But this is different, I can blow up things now.”, Luana fights back. “The Luana I know would never complain and would love to receive a new gift.”, Wellington argues. “I am not sure about that. But today, this gift helped me a lot.”, agrees Luana, smiling and calming down. “She blew up that demon with an attitude. She used her gift as she already had for a long time.”, comments Tamires, happy. “Actually I wanted to...”, Luana cried, laughing about her cousin's comment. “What are we going to do now?”, Romero asks, bored. “Potions, spells, whatever. That demon won't attack this family again!”, answers Cecilia, as determined to help as she can. “This is my kid!”, cries Louise, smiling at her daughter, Cecilia. “You are not going anywhere. Glaucio and I are going to Hell and ask for some information.”, Wellington forbids everyone to go with them. “No way! You are not going without me!”, Luana disagrees, disappointed with her cousin's attitude. “Neither do you. You can't go with us.”, Wellington blocks his cousin to not pass through the door. “And here we go again...!”, thinks Glaucio, rolling his eyes. “I'm going with you, willy-nilly.”, Luana fights back, furious. “But you don't have the experience of going on a mission!”, Luna forbids her kids to go out. “A great opportunity to have one.”, Tamires gives a reason to her mom. “It would be better if you had the chance to get experience outside Hell. That place is dangerous!”, Wellington tries to persuade his cousins. “No, it is not. It is a great idea and everybody agrees, but not you.”, Luana fights for everything. “Have you lost your mind? You don't have much experience!”, Wellington is getting mad. “Think with me. No one could vanquish an unstoppable demon. Why? Because it was always individual work, but now...”, Luana explains, pointing at everyone in the room. “Maybe we should focus on someone else.”, Glaucio comments, interested in his cousin's idea. “Imagine the Great Power multiplied three times as a new category spell. We are twelve and the Great Power needs four people to activate it.”, Luana continues. “Maybe it could work.”, Louise agrees partially. “Are you thinking the same as I am?”, Luana asks, smiling at her mom. “I believe so and I have the perfect spell for that!”, Louise answers, smiling back. “I know! Me too.”, agrees to Luana, happy. “They are doing that thing again. Like mother, like daughter.”, whispered Lucinda. “So? What are you thinking?”, asks Loren, curious. “You are going to cast a spell together.”, answered Louise, excited about showing an ancient secret. “Wait, which spell?”, Simone asked, confused. “Mationi Power!”, answered Luana. “Or you can call it a sacred power, glorious gift, whatever.” Everyone looks at Luana with a ‘Wow! Fantastic’ look. In the welcoming room, everybody is sitting on the couch waiting for the surprise promised by Louise and Luana. “They are taking too long!”, complains Tamires, discouraged. “I am wondering what they are doing.”, comments Luisa, curious. “Yes, I'm getting anxious.”, agrees Teresa. “Let's relax and stop thinking about what they are doing because we know.”, Lucinda pets both. “Just wait.”, Andrew agrees. “It's easy for you to say it, I am not so patient.”, says Simone impatiently. In Luana's old room, she and her mother are looking for an object with the information they need to know for now. “I know I left here somewhere in this bedroom.”, complains Luana, anxious. “But don't you remember where?”, Louise asks, desperate. “Thirty years have passed or maybe more because I don't use a diary anymore. How would I know? I was just a kid when I hid it.” “I got it. But you already have enough age to create and cast spells. Therefore, you should remember by heart.” , Louise gives serious advice to her oldest daughter. “Besides, you told me to hide the diary.”, completed Luana. “When you were a child, but you are grown up and...”, Louise is trying to complete the sentence, but something bothers her: “Maybe the problem is not you, it is your memories.” “What do you mean? I didn't understand.“, asks Luana, confused. “To make sure you never talk about the diary again, I created an orb capable of sucking memories of those who use it. It looks like marble, but it is just a light hidden somewhere in this house.”, Louise explains. “Did you suck all my memories? What if I forgot you? My sisters!”, Luana changes her behaviour and starts blowing up everything. “Easy girl! Easy!”, screams Louise, desperate. To their surprise, a fake wall blows up with Luana's gift and there is the diary they were looking for. “Easy, my little princess. You blew up your old room house! Maybe you should...“, Louise keeps trying to calm her daughter down, but Luana notices a detail that her mother hasn't seen: “Mom, help me to break up the wall.” “Break the wall? Are you insane?”, asks Louise, disappointed. “Actually, the wall wasn't completely destroyed, as you think. I created a fake wall to hide the diary and don't see it everyday. If I had put it behind the furniture, I could see it while cleaning up my room.”, explains Luana. “Smart.”, praises Louise, impressed with her daughter. “Thank you.”, appreciates Luana taking off the fake wall. Luana picks up the diary, cleans it up, and puts the fake wall back in its place. Soon she covers it with abstract paint to hide the spots. Both beams downstairs. In the welcoming room, everybody is waiting anxiously for the news. Luana and Louise appear beaming at the entrance room. “Thank God!”, exalts Romero, tired. “What were you doing? It took so long!”, complains Cecilia. “We were looking for something lost for a long time. I told my daughter to hide it and never use it, at least until now.”, answers Louise feeling guilty for not telling the truth about what she is talking. “And what is that in your hand?”, asks Wellington, curious. “A diary.”, answers Luana, smiling. “Everything because of a diary? How is it going to help us?”, complains Wellington, disappointed. “Well, it is time to take the Consecrated Book to enlighten everything.”, answers Louise, seriously. “I didn't know you hid your feelings in a diary. Why did our mom forbid us to use it again?”, asks Cecilia, curious. “What about we go upstairs to explain everything?”, suggests Luana going upstairs, step by step. The Miller family follows Luana to the attic where Louise is waiting in the room while holding the Consecrated Book in her hands. Like the Consecrated Book, Luana's diary has the symbol Demetriax on the cover. “You might not remember it, but when you were children...”, Louise says, smiling. “Maybe the boys can remember. They were teenagers and accepted to play the game anyway. Actually, we all created this game. It is about hunting demons.”, Luana completes. “A demon hunt? Have you gone crazy hunting demons without warning us?”, asks Loren, upset. “It was not a real demon, just some voodoo dolls.”, Glaucio remembers one important detail. “Now everything makes sense. Yes, I remember this game.”, comments Wellington. “Did you vanquish the demons? I mean, the dolls?”, asks Larissa. “Yes, and we used a spell for that.”, affirms Luana. “What? Could you create spells even if you were just a kid?”, asks Tamires, surprised. “Maybe yes.”, answers Tatiana. “Why haven't you told us, Louise?”, asks Lucinda, trying to be calm. “Because I know that if you knew about it, you would be mad and ground them. But they did something good. The only thing is that it was not their time yet.”, apologises Louise. “Well, and what kind of spell was that?”, Edward asks, curious. “The Mationi Power.”, answers Luana. “Mationi? What a strange name.”, laughs Teresa. “Yes, we were kids and the inspiration came from random words in our minds.”, answers Luana, laughing. “Wait a minute. If it is a spell that only works with twelve of you, how did it work?”, asks Andrew, suspecting thoughtfully. “We also used triplets to play. Since they were babies at that time, we just needed to hold them.”, answers Wellington, loud and clear. "Have you been using my babies? How could you?!", says Luna disappointed. "Sorry, aunt.", apologises Luana. "It's no use to apologise. They were innocent babies!", Luna complains, upset. "But nothing happened... I mean.. the demons blew up!", Glaucio completes. "Nothing happened? You could get hurt!", Renan agrees with his wife. "Sweetheart, why haven't you told us about it?", Andrew asks getting closer to Louise. "I didn't want to upset you!", answers Louise, sad for what happened. "Dad, it was a play. We didn't know it could work.", apologises Luana. "You created a dangerous situation for yourselves and could get hurt. Think about it.", Loren fights back. "Sorry, aunt.", apologises Glaucio. "All right, but you deserve to be grounded.", forgives Lucinda. "Thanks, aunt Lucy.", Luana smiles. "Your turn, Louise.", says Loren, staring at her sister. "I know... I know... I didn't want everything to be out of control. That's why I told my daughter to hide the diary and never use it again. Regardless of the spell or rhymes they invented, they could not speak out loud. Do you forgive me?", asks Louise, dramatically. "We won't be upset with you, but you deserve to be grounded too.", Lucinda forgives Louise. "And I know what she is going to do.", says Loren, thinking about slaving her sister for one week as in her favorite fairytale, Cinderella. "I forgive you and agree that everybody needs to be punished. But for now, we need to focus on vanquishing the demons.", Luna remembers what they were doing before the discussion. Consecrated Ones comfort each other. "What are you planning? And how are we gong to use the spell?", asks Camila, anxious. "I was thinking about having a trip to Hell.", answers Luana, excited. "Lua, I told you, only me and Glaucio are going to take care of it in Hell. It is too dangerous for you!", forbids Wellington. "No, you are not. This spell is clear, and it only works with all of us. Let's go then!", disagrees Sabrina. Larissa, Simone, Cecilia, Luana, Camila, Romero, and the triplets agree with Sabrina. "All of them? They are not ready yet!", disagrees Jonas. "Are you sure you want to endanger all of you in this mission?", asks Wellington, serious. "Absolutely!", answers Luana, determined to face everything. "Great, they finally agree with each other. The promise is a deal and now we are going to face some demons!", comments Glaucio and all of them agree. "I've never known that my wish could work!", confess Tatiana. "Agree, this is going to be epic!", says Romero. "Sure!", the triplets say together. Luana opens the diary on a page with the title Mationi Power: "Hell will find out what we are capable of!" In a different state, outside the town, Itacaré-BH, a woman(56 years) receives a premonition from a different timeline of her life. First, a hooded figure appears, threatening her and asking her to obey its orders in exchange for a divine gift. The truth is, the figure was not anyone, it was the Dark Lord. "There is no escape. As a deal, I want you to give me a devout for me.", threats Dark Lord. "I won't give you anything. I know about everything. I am a Seer and I don't work for anyone.", disagrees Judith. "I should refresh your mind then. I know your true name and origins. I can give you a better place instead of this dusty place you call home.", persuades Dark Lord. "What can you give me in exchange?", asks Judith, curious. "More clients to your task, comfort, home, family, and guards to protect you from danger.", answers Dark Lord. "Deal.", accepts Judith, shaking the Dark Lord hands. The Dark Lord throws a dark energy inside Judith's womb and disappears flaming. Judith is not sure about what she has done but knows something is about to happen. In Hell, the Consecrated children appear beaming or orbbing. They looked around to see if any demons noticed them. "Wow, this is terrible! How can they live in a place like that? I mean look at that! Seriously!", blurts out Camila. "Not all of them live here. Some are upstairs like us.", corrects Glaucio, laughing at his cousin's comment. "Why does everything here look the same? It is like a maze with no exits!", complains Cecilia. "I didn't understand your question.", says Wellington, confused. "Look around. It looks like we are inside an old cave or mine, and they are irresponsible. Why don't they paint the halls, or decorate some parts?", asks Cecilia with a good point of view. "Welcome to Hell!", answers Wellington, sarcastically. "Enough! We are not here to talk.", alerts Glaucio. "True. We should split.", suggests Luana. "No way!", forbids Wellington. "Earlier we agreed to come to Hell to face the demon and now you disagree again? It would be a miracle if you agree with me one day!", complains Luana, furious. "Here we go again.", comments Tamires rolling her eyes. "I am with Lua, Welly. Three groups of four, it'll be quicker to find the demon.", agrees Glaucio. "I thought you would support me! They are not prepared to face the danger, by themselves!", fights Wellington. "I told you I am with Luana.", Romero answers back. "The oldest ones take care of the minor ones. I'm going to guard three kids. Wellington and Glaucio will create their own groups too.", explains Luana. "You don't know this place, Lua. You'll get lost.", warns Wellington. "Stop trying to protect me! I hate when you do that!", Luana is mad. "But...", Wellington realises there is nothing good enough to block his cousin: "All right, then Camila, Larissa and Cecilia come with me." "Simone, Sabrina and Romero come with me.", calls Luana. "The triplets come with me.", calls Glaucio. "Look, whoever finds the demon first, call the others. Don't do anything without us, ok?", alerts Wellington anda everyone agres, but someone: "OK?", says overbearing, looking at Luana. "Whatever.", says Luana ignorantly. The groups departed in different directions and disappeared from view. In the first hall is Wellington's group: "Anyone who thinks Luana will obey Welly's orders, raise your hand!", comments Cecilia waiting for a positive answer, but no one answers it: "You're right. Neither do I." In the second corridor is Luana's group, tired of walking and feeling trapped in a labyrinth curse where everything is the same and back to the beginning of the game again. "I'm starving.", wrecks Sabrina. "So am I, but we can't give up. Our family is counting on us!", motivates Luana. "I wish to have a restroom now. I'm going to pee...", Romero complains, but whispers call their attention and cut their chat. "Shhhhhhh! There is someone nearby!", Luana asks for collaboration. Cautiously tiptoe into the demon's lair and hide behind a piece of furniture carved from magma stone: "Akmu hori pasuvi kimur demo mari", Kvrox knows the witches are present, but it pretends it doesn't know anything. "Romero, go get some help. We'll wait for you here.", whispers Luana. "I think Simone should go instead of me. She can beam with no problems.", Romero suggests, afraid. "I tried, but my gifts don't work here. I am just an ordinary person, a human.", warns Simone. "We know where the demon is, then why don't we all go back to call the others?", Sabrina asks, optimistic. "Don't worry. Go get the others and we'll watch it here.", asks Luana, one more time. "But Lua...", Romero keeps begging. "No buts! Go!.", forces Luana.
