Charlotte
For the next few days, we have been busy with the wedding preparations.
Charles and I decided to have a small wedding and to only invite family. Even though many prestige family has grand weddings, ours is going to be simple and quiet.
I really hate the thought of having our pictures everywhere because apparently, Charles is really famous.
Today, Mom is taking me to look at dresses. I haven't really worn a dress before let alone a wedding dress. I was nervous because I was sure that I wouldn't be able to decide which to get. It's a big decision. But mom told me that I'll know it's the right one when I see it.
Honestly, I don't know about Charles but I am really excited about the wedding. I'll be marrying the man of my dreams in the wedding of my dreams. I don't know what's going to happen next but I hope that Charles and I will be together forever.
Soon it was time to leave to the designers. I had no idea what to expect because I had never been to a boutique before, the only clothes I bought was from H&M or those kinds of store.
Once we arrived, the store was really big. There were dresses everywhere and they were all white. I could tell that this store is specifically for wedding dresses. When we walk in, the staff started to swoon us.
"Good morning, Ms. Denver, Ms. Garcia, I am Alice Stella, I can assure, you I will make you the best dress you have ever seen," Alice smiles.
Wait, Alice Stella? I've heard that name before. I think I have seen her in some magazines and her work is legit.
"Are you Alice Stella as in The Alice Stella?" I asked in awe. Never in a million years would I ever think that I would get to meet someone from the magazines. Well, that's besides Charles and his family though.
Alice laughs, "Yes."
"Can I just say that I am a huge fan?" I really am a big fan of her.
Mom smiles, "I am glad you like her."
"Right, come here and I will take your measurements," said Alice as she took her measuring rope.
She motions to a circle stand. I walk on it and she starts to take my measurements.
I have seen people do those on TV but they were like princes. I never thought that I would stand on one of these things while people take my measurements and I never thought that The Alice Stella would me making me a dress.
"There," She says when she is done, "Now I shall show you some of my dresses, if you see any detail that you like, just tell me and I will include it in your custom-made dress"
Wait custom-made? Alice Stella's dresses are worth a fortune, and custom made? They cost even more.
I looked at Mom who just nodded. I got off the stand and went to talk to her.
"Mom, custom-made? Don't those cost a fortune? I am fine with a normal dress."
"Nonsense, we need a beautiful dress for a beautiful bride and besides are you doubting our ability to pay for them?" Mom asks looking at me with a fake serious look.
"But..."
"No buts, just go tell Alice which one you like"
"Thanks, Mom."
Even though she wasn't my real mother, she always treated me as her daughter. I feel really grateful to have someone like her being there for me all the time.
Charles
Charlotte went dress shopping with Mom so I am now left alone in the house with Dad.
Grandma and Grandpa are going to a meeting right now so they aren't here also.
We have decided to do an outdoor wedding in our backyard. There were people there already, setting up the preparations. This was all happening so quickly. I don't mind though, I am excited about the wedding but I wonder if Charlotte is though.
Oh Charlotte, if only I could read your thoughts. I remember when she was still in love with Michael, I remember how she would talk about him all the time and think of him with perfection. I remember thinking how lucky he was to be able to get someone like her when I, a person who is said to get everything I want, can't even make the woman I love, my best friend, fall in love with me. I remember thinking, how can that kind of love ever fade away? It was too deep just like my love for Charlotte.
I am aware of how cheesy I sound but I guess love just really does that for a person doesn't it?
"Charles, are you excited for the wedding? You are going to get a Suit in a while." Dad asks, his voice bringing me back from my train of thought.
The thought of getting another suit was not something I wanted to do. It always takes forever and people always insist I try more when I already know which one I want, especially Mom. She'd make me try on the whole store if we had time. At least now, Mom was with Charlotte so Dad would help me pick a suit. The shop doesn't open until 8. Mom wanted to take Charlotte in early claiming that they would be there all day if they didn't go now.
"Yeah, I guess Dad,"
Before Dad could reply, a security guard walked into the house.
He bowed slightly before saying, "Sir, there is someone at the door here to see you?"
The poor guy, sounded nervous like he might get in trouble for intruding. He was slightly shaking and I feel kind of bad. We aren't that scary, are we?
We get visitors all the time but most of the time, they aren't important enough to be reported to us, I wonder who it was to have caught the attention of the security team.
"Who is it," Dad asked in a serious voice.
"This woman, Ally Ashford. She claims to be your girlfriend, sir,"
