I bounced on the elevator nervously as I waited to reach my floor, the pounding in my chest not helping my worry. As soon as I stepped into the building, the receptionist let me know that the Director wanted me to come to his office. I knew I wasn’t in trouble, but it still wasn’t a good sign for my day to start like this. Most days, I simply walked into work and found new assignments waiting on my desk, or I worked on filling out paperwork from previous assignments. Due to the wedding, I was mostly given assignments in Decver and luckily, it meant I didn’t have much to do. The Local team was more than capable of handling most cases that came to Division 11, so I spent my time just pushing papers or acting as a consultant for them.
