967 Words
As Nadine and Theo’s love story continued to unfold, new challenges emerged, threatening to test the strength of their bond. Theo’s parents, who belonged to a world of wealth and privilege, found it difficult to accept Nadine due to her humble background. Their disapproval cast a shadow over the couple, adding another layer of complexity to their relationship. Nadine felt the weight of their judgement, her insecurities resurfacing with a vengeance. She questioned her worthiness, wondering if she could ever truly fit into Theo’s world. But Theo Remained resolute, standing by Nadine’s side and defending their love against all odds. With each encounter, Theo’s parents made their disdain for Nadine evident, their icy glares and dismissive remarks cutting deep. Nadine struggled to maintain her composure, her heart aching at the thought of causing Theo any pain. One evening, as Nadine and Theo sat in Theo’s childhood home, tension hung heavy in the air. Theo’s mother, Mrs. Achilles couldn't hide her disapproval any longer. “Theo, dear, I understand that you care for this girl, but she simply doesn’t belong in our world,” Mrs. Achilles said, her tone laced with condescension. “We have certain expectations for you, and she doesn’t meet them.” Theo’s voice was firm as he responded, “Mother, Nadine is an incredible woman who brings joy and love into my life. Her background does not define her worth. I love her, and that should be enough for you to accept her.” Mrs. Achilles face hardened, her eyes filled with disappointment. “You know we have your best interests at heart, Theo. We want what’s best for you, and this relationship will only bring you heartache.” Nadine felt a lump form in her throat, the weight of the situation threatening to crush her spirit. But she refused to let their judgement define her. She looked at Theo, determination shining in her eyes. Later when they were back to his house, “Theo, your parents may not accept me now, but I won’t let their prejudices break us,” Nadine said, her voice filled with resolve. “Our love is strong enough to withstand any storm. We will prove them wrong.” Theo nodded, his love and support unwavering. Together, they faced the challenge of winning over Theo’s parents, knowing that it would take time and patience to bridge the gap between their different worlds. Meanwhile, Nadine’s past resurfaced, threatening to unravel the progress they had made. A figure from her dark past emerged, seeking revenge and determined to destroy the happiness she had found with Theo. One evening, as Nadine walked alone through the dimly lit streets, a chilling voice echoed through the darkness. Her heart pounded in her chest as she turned to face the person she had hoped to leave behind. “Nadine, you thought you could escape from me, but I always find what’s mine,” Nicholas sneered, his eyes filled with malice. Fear gripped Nadine’s heart, memories of her painful past flooding back. She knew she couldn’t face this battle alone. With a trembling hand, she dialled Theo’s number, her voice shaking as she pleaded for his help. Theo arrived in an instant, his protective instincts kicking into overdrive. He stood tall, a pillar of strength, as he faced the person who threatened to unravel their happiness. “You have no power over Nadine anymore,” Theo declared, his voice filled with determination. “We will not let you destroy what we’ve built together.” “I’m leaving now Nadine, but this is not goodbye. I will make you mine again Princess” Nicholas walked away casting Nadine a look that only she could decipher its meaning. Theo took her home and decided to spend the night because she was too frightened to be left alone. He tried talking to her but she had completely shut down. He pondered what Nicholas did to make her this diatraughted. He gave her the emotional support she needed but he didn’t query her. He thought to himself “she’ll tell me when she is ready”. Theo was suddenly awakened by a scream, he was at first confused as to where he was. Nadine screamed again clutching her stomach as if she was in excruciating pain and he quickly went beside her. He tried waking her up but it was to no avail. He shook her vigorously until she was wide awake. When Nadine realised her surroundings, she hugged him tightly and cried her heart out. She couldn't sleep again until it was morning again. Theo took her out for breakfast so she could breath in fresh air. Nadine felt Theo staring at her and she prays he won’t ask her about the nightmare. Theo kept reassuring her that he would always be there to protect her and that nothing would break their relationship. Nadine stepped outside to receive a call, and Theo called the waitress to bring their bills. He paid and met her outside. Theo was surprised at how calm Nadine appears to be. “Is something wrong?” He asked. “You know you can tell me anything, right?” She smiled and teased him for worrying too much. They went back and stayed in for the rest of the day. The following morning, Nadine received a text message with a video of Theo’s family house caption “it will be amusing watching them all burned to hell. Come with me or watch how I destroy each and everyone of your new so-called family. Nadine immediately packed a small duffel bag with necessary items, her credit cards and some cash and she left town immediately. She left a note that said “I’ll contact you when I'm settled, I’m sorry and I love you”.
