Levi carefully guided me toward the black escort car waiting near the curb while the cold night air brushed against my wet cheeks. The second the car doors shut behind us and Levi pulled away from the curb, I felt like I could finally breathe a little. The city lights blurred past the window, and everything looked distorted through the tears that constantly gathered in my eyes. I pressed my forehead against the cool glass. Then I broke.
