11- The lady in white

The stay at Galad seemed to have taken an interesting twist as it was becoming a memorable one for her while turning sour for Eros. Arin found a new well , the first friend in Prince Xavier which was becoming torturous for Eros as well as hid Beta and Gamma supreme who were constantly at edge due to his emotions. Well Andrew was Andrew , oblivious , notorious and down right goof enjoying every bit of what Galad offered.

The next day when Arin tried to talk to Eros , she couldn't get him by himself. He was always surrounded by officials talking about some business. Even when he was alone he would just divert her. Back at the cottage he was not that busy and she was getting used to being by his side every second. Though here she was getting frustrated by the lack of interaction they had but she understood that maybe he was busy and couldn't spare a single minute.

However , later she was sure that it was only her Eros didn't have time for because she would find the princess clinging onto him a lot. It still would have been fine if Eros would put the spoiled princess in her place but no , he let her do that. In fact , it seemed that he was enjoying the attention. It was not at all like that with Arin where he seemed to go out of his way to avoid her.

After trying her best , Arin just accepted the fact that she was all along correct. Eros could never be anything the person how took her out of that slave house. He was nothing like the humble Prince Xavier , who was slowly becoming her friend , her first ever friend beside Mimi and Sophy. Though they could not be technically classified as friends , they were family after all.

The day after when Eros saw Arin laughing with Xavier , he tried to avoid her as much as possible. He was in no mood to associate with her and lose his temper. Now that would be disastrous , he would not be able to justify his anger , possessiveness and jealousy for a random she-wolf that was also his housemaid. He couldn't show his emotions and thought of only one solution- distancing himself from her.

Though this only pushed Arin more towards Xavier.

Another day went by with Eros avoiding Arin but the only difference was that Arin no longer pursued him. Eros didn't know how to react to that. Initially he liked Arin chasing him a little , he liked the fact that she was under the same emotional turmoil as him but now , he could feel her being distant. Had he done something wrong ? This question kept on repeating inside his mind but he could not comprehend what , after all he was just trying to do what was deemed right at that moment. He was not sure now , though.

Arin now spent her entire day either with Xavier or in the garden doing the thing she thought she would never be able to do again and that was also thanks to Xavier. After that night in the gardens , Xavier found out that Arin loved painting and it had been around two years since she was able to paint. So , the next day Xavier got her colors , pencils and sketch pad of the finest quality an artist could ever imagine. Tears rolled down her face at the sight of them and Xavier just took the petite girl in his embrace.

" Hush , now Ari. It is not like I am giving you some priceless gems "

" It is more than that, Xavi. They are more precious to me than some gems. Thank you , Thank you so much! " Arin said, hugging him back and sniffling a little. Eros again caught their conversation which pissed him even more. It seemed to him that they were desperately trying to tell him how good Xavier was in treating his mate. Xavier knew more about her in just three days when he knew practically nothing even in the four weeks he had known Arin.

Everyone was sitting for breakfast and as usual these past days , Arin was sitting besides Xavier giggling at whatever he whispered in her ear. Eros was clutching on the fork in his hand trying not to stab it in the chest of the said Prince.  He was so grossed in his thoughts that he didn't even see the painful glances Arin sent his way. 

" So Ari , I told you that I am going for some official work after breakfast. " A low inaudible growl escapes Eros' mouth as he hears the nickname given to his mate by that prick named Xavier.

" Yeah what about it ? "

" I want your number to keep in contact with you. I will be gone for the entire day " Xavier said as it was the most obvious thing and ended the sentence with a pout.

Arin giggled at his antics.

" Sorry to disappoint Mr. Prince but I don't have a phone "

" I know, " Xavier said nonchalantly while putting a box of a new phone in front of Arin.

She gasped as she looked at the phone , her first ever phone.

" Xavi...... " 

Their conversation was cut short when a sound of breaking glass echoed in the entire dining room.

Everyone looked at a pissed off Eros , who stormed out of there quickly.

Arin just sat there with her mouth wide open and staring at the chair which was occupied by Eros moments ago. 

What the hell is wrong with him ?

" That happens a lot with Alphas , especially the one with royal wolves. Everything is fine. All of you can go back to eating " announced King Galad trying to diffuse the tension left behind by the agitated prince , wondering about what just ticked off Eros.

Eros did not know where he was going , all he knew was that he needed to get out of there as soon as possible. He just kept on walking aggressively ,  turning here and there without thinking anything. The scene that just happened in the dining room kept on repeating in his head. The sound of the giggles and smiles that should just be reserved for him but given to another wolf kept on bleeding his ears and heart. It also didn't help that his wolf was restless and howling to go take away their mate , to claim her and let that prick of prince know who she belongs to.

But alas , Eros couldn't do any of that.

After roaming around for half an hour or so, Eros came to a dead end with a small plain white door. It seemed to be different from the rest of the gates and seemed to be isolated. Although the light coming from beneath the door was telling that it took you out of the castle. And that was just what Eros needed so without wasting any more second, he opened and quickly stepped into the door.

Though it was not what he thought. Instead of stepping out of the castle , he had stepped inside an indoor nursery just like the one back home. However it was more beautiful and breathtaking. As usual to Galad, the plants and vegetation all around was emitting soft glow but it seemed a little different to Eros. On a closure inspection , he found that the plants were strange. He had never seen such species of flora ever , not even in Galad.

His trance was broken by the sound of a door shutting loudly. Eros quickly spun around and saw that there was no gate behind him , just the vast expanse of the nursery stretching up to where his eyes could see. He scowled as he couldn't even sense anything here. It felt as if his super senses were not working here.

What the hell is this place ?

" This is where you come when you seek answers , Prince Eros. "

An angelic voice filtered through his ears as Eros once again shifted to look to whom this voice belonged. Soon he caught sight of a beautiful angelic woman in white was standing. She seemed young but was emitting a strong ancient aura much more powerful than even the king of werewolves.

" Who are you ? " Eros asked skeptically , on edge and with dominance.

" You power won't work on me child "

" WHO. ARE. YOU. "

Eros gritted out the words trying to keep his anger at bay.

" Who I am is not important , that you will learn at the right time. But right now , what is important is WHO ARE YOU ? "

" Don't try to play mind games with me. What do you want ? "

 " I know what you are worried about , young Prince of Valor. She is not any human, Prince. "

Eros stiffened as the lady in white uttered those words.

How the hell does she know about it ?

" I know a lot more than you think , young Prince of Valor. " 

" How do you know this ? Who exactly are you and why have you brought me here ? " Eros said with anger in his voice. He was trying to take help from his wolf but for some reason he couldn't contact him. He was confused about the whereabouts of his wolf and also because for some mystic reasons he felt safe in the presence of this lady. Her presence strongly reminded him of his mother.

" I am here to just guide you towards the correct direction , my child. Take my advice and don't think about it much , the moon goddess does not make mistakes , Prince. You all have a higher purpose to fulfil. Do not let her slip , intentionally or unintentionally otherwise you will face irrevocable loss. Mark my words young Alpha Prince of Valor! "

Eros did not understand her words and before he could comprehend and ask her any questions , the lady just vanished with the blink of an eye. Instead of the lady in white was that white door from which Eros entered previously. Eros did not want to be there even for more than a second and quickly walked out of the door. 

Eros was back in the castle corridor and saw King Galad XI.

" Where have you been , Eros ? We have been looking for you since the past three hours " exclaimed the stressed out king. Eros couldn't believe it had been three hours already. He was just there for a few minutes.

" I was just ..... " Eros trailed as he saw there was no door behind him. It was just the corridor leading to the back gardens.

" Ugg... I was just outside. Went out for a run to clear my head. My wolf had been a little out of it today "

" It's okay. Prince Eros , I understand. Let's go to study.. It is almost time for the meeting. "

" Yes of course , King Galad. "

Eros once more looked behind him , then went with the king. There was only one thing in his head, 

What the f**k just happened ? Who the hell was that lady in white ?

Beta and gamma supreme were also beside him , eyeing him curiously.

" What happened ? "  mind linked Beta supreme.

" I will tell you both after this meeting. "  Eros replied to both before shutting down his mind link.

" So you mean to tell us you went to a magic place , where you met a magical lady " mocked gamma supreme , laughing loudly while rolling all over the floor in Eros' suit.

It was just after the meeting when Eros , beta supreme , and gamma supreme gathered in Eros' suit to discuss about what happened to Eros in those three hours he went missing.

" Shut it gamma " scowled Beta.

" Be serious for a f*****g second in your life "

" Oh please, don't tell me to be serious , Eros is the one who needs to grow up and stop fantasizing about fairies , " Gamma laughed again.

Eros and beta supreme were glad that Eros' suit was sound proof otherwise the entire castle would be here hearing this horrendous laugh. 

When nobody joined him , Gamma opened his eyes to look at the others' serious expression. He gulped before asking with a straight face as he felt the tension growing around them. 

" You are serious , aren't you ? " he looked at Eros for confirmation.

" Have I ever joked around , Gamma ? "

" How the hell would she know about Arin ? "

" And the magic ? Aren't witches' and wizards extinct species ? "

" Yes they are and I do not know how she knew about her. All I know is that something is very very wrong and we have to quickly find out what it is. Because I have a feeling that we don't have much time for whatever we have to face and that Arin is going to play a huge role in it. "
