It has been three days since Roan returned back to his penthouse and Levi had gone back to the castle, with the promise to always give him feedback on the things happening in the castle. All through the days, he has been thinking of the incident and the fact that his curse can never be cured or averted, keep driving him crazy. He feels like all his hope in life is lost already and he has no reason to live again.
It's a beautiful evening, but to him it's like every other day that he has to deal with his misery of a life and wallow in pain. He stand in the garden, while staring at the stars in the sky, drowning in thoughts. Even if he wants to cry his pain out, knowing that it won't change anything, he know that it'll be best if he hold back his tears. He has been crying and nothing changed. Regardless, a drop of tears slid down his cheek still.
"Is this how I'll live forever? How will I hold on like this? He sigh softly and close his eyes as the gentle breeze blow on his face. A familiar scent suddenly take over the air, and he snap his eyes open immediately. He look around the garden, trying to get where the scent is coming from. For the next seconds, the scent keeps getting much and just then, he spot her. It's the white wolf. She came again, but this time, she didn't hide herself. She's standing right there, staring at him as her eyes glows in the dark.
"Y...you?" He blink his eyes repeatedly, trying to make sure that this isn't a dream, and thankfully it's not. A smile suddenly lace up his lips as he stare back at her. Scared that she might run away from him, he stand still on the spot and admiring her. The leg chain that he had spotted on her leg the first day is still there, her fur is still as beautiful as the snows, her eyes are the most dangerous and yet calming eyes ever. The aura surrounding her speaks volume of who she might be. He quickly conclude that she may either be a princess, or someone that's so important in their pack.
He watch as the wolf suddenly starts walking towards him and his smiles widens. For some time, the only thing he can think of, is the wolf standing before him. The sight of her, for some reason, eases his aching heart, the sight of her makes him forget his worries and put a smile on his face. This is the feelings he always had whenever he thought of the wolf, but still finding it difficult to tell what the feeling is all about.
The wolf finally get to where he's standing, and rub her head on his leg, as if she's trying to comfort him. Waves of excitement spur through him as he stare down at the wolf that have come to comfort him. It take him another three minutes before he finally squat down to her size and slowly touches it. As expected, her furs feel so soothing in his hands and he wish he can rub it for long until he falls asleep.
"Who are you?" He speak up for the first time, hugging her head to his body as tears slowly slid down his cheeks. He feels so good while hugging her, he feels like he has nothing to worry about because she had given him all the comfort he wants.
"Why do you keep showing up to help me? Are you my guardian angel?" He chuckles amid tears and kiss her neck before hugging her again and playing with her furs.
"A loner, that's what I am. A cursed bastard that brought nothing, but pain to his parents. That's what I am. They must be so disappointed in me wherever they are now, right? I couldn't even protect them. I watched them die slowly right before my very eyes and I couldn't do anything about it. I couldn't even avenge their death. Am I not a disgrace?" He pour out his bitter heart and wolf only growls softly, as though she's trying to comfort him.
"For someone who is likely to spend the rest of his life being under a spell that'll always subject me to pains and bitterness, my life worth nothing. Why did you show up when I had the opportunity to be killed? I had many chances to die, but why did you always show up to save me? I have no one else here on earth, do you consider yourself my friend?" He smile as more tears find their way out of his eyes.
"I'm sorry I have to stain you with my disgusting and pathetic tears, I just can't help it. I'm sad because of everything happening to me, but then I'm happy that at least I have you here..." He pause and throw his head back, letting out his tears.
"I have no friends, no family and I trust no one too. Will you be my friend? We could hang out some time and have fun. Or what do you think?" He tickles her fur while smiling and the wolf only grunts softly.
For the whole years of his existence, he had never been so at peace within himself, he had never been so happy and here the wolf is, giving him butterflies in his stomach. He hug her tightly and cry on her back as though he doesn't want to let go, he hold her so tightly as if his life depends on it or maybe she would never come back if he does let go of her.
The wolf wriggle our of his grasp and stare at him for a few seconds before she finally gallop out of the garden until it vanishes to God knows where.
He stares at her casting shadow with tears flooding down his cheeks. Pain is written all over him, his heart tighten and he slowly fall to his knees. He regret the day he was born into the wicked world and wish that he never existed.
Two arms suddenly hugs him from behind as the familiar scent fill the air and the warmness coming from the one that just hug him, engulf him. He quickly raise his eyebrows upon realizing who it is. It's Giselle! Why would she do something like that?...
