Roan Vandette
Stepping into the gate, another world welcomes me. The view here isn't the same as I've seen it when I was outside this gate. Everywhere look so beautiful and designed with flowers. What the heck is going on here?
"You look surprised, my lord. This is grave claw temple. Just like we have werewolf packs, this place belongs to werewolves, but not just ordinary werewolves like us. They're also witches," He explains and I gasp sharply. I've heard so much about witches and how deadly they can be, and I've also watched them on movies and also read series about them. Right from time, I've been scared of them and prays to never meet them in my lifetime. I've never heard about witches being werewolves too and now I'm both curious to know what they look like, and also scared of being harmed by them.
"You look scared, my lord. You don't have to, they're friendly and won't hurt you unless you cross your boundary," He explains as we walk down the compound. I keep looking around the place and taking in the beauty. There aren't no single guards on duty, I guess they don't need no guards, since they have spells that can keep them safe.
We finally climb up the stairs and walk through the veranda.
"Levi..." A young lady call with a broad smile dancing on her lips as she stride toward us. She's wearing a beautiful loose white gown, her hair is styled beautifully and her skin glows beautifully. Judging from the way she's dressed, she must be royalty. It's almost dawn and everywhere is cold. My feet are already freezing and my breath is already becoming stiff. I need to get warm and get some good sleep.
"Greetings, princess," I was right, she's a princess.
"Greetings. You had a long journey and you must be very tired now. Father asked me to come welcome you," She smile at him before she finally tilt her head to look at me.
"Oh! Forgive my manners, princess. This is Roan Vandette, the son of late alpha Vandette of blue moon pack," Levi quickly chip in before she even say anything.
"It's nice to meet you, Roan," She smile at me softly and I flash her a smile.
"It's my pleasure," I reply her and she smile.
"Please come with me," She turn around and starts walking away while we trail behind her. She lead us through the veranda until she gets to the far end and finally take the other route that leads to God knows where while we just follow her like lambs.
"We're here. Please make yourself comfortable and if you need anything, do not hesitate to let me or father know about it. Everything you will be needing are all inside the room, so you should feel at home. Father went to visit a friend in the neighboring kingdom and will be back in a few hours. I'll leave you two now," She bow slightly.
"Thanks for your hospitality, princess," Levi bow slightly and she only smile shyly. Don't blame me for concluding too fast, but uf you ask me I'd say that I feel some chemistry between the two.
"It's my pleasure," She finally turn around and walk away.
"Shall we?" Levi push the door open and we walk inside. The room is almost as large as my room back in the castle. The interior design is so beautiful and look like that of royalty. There are two beds in the room and a book shelf that's separated from the other things in the room. A set of reading table and chair is resting at the corner of the room with a reading lamp on the table.
I have so many questions to ask Levi, but that'll be later. But for now, I need to get on that bed and let all my tiredness on it.
"Urgh!" I groan tiredly, throwing myself on the bed after I get rid of my clothes and wear the big warm shirt that Levi handed over to me. He picked it from the heap of clothes in the ancient closet in the room.
"There's enough food to eat here, my lord. Mind having some?" He asks me and I sigh deeply. I'm hungry, but I'm scared. What if these people poisoned the food and get me killed?
"No," I reply simply, staring at the ceiling. So many thoughts parade my mind as I contemplate on the one to ask first. I want to ask him how he knew about this place, why he brought me here and why he's deciding to help me when everyone else neglected me, I have so many questions to ask.
"King Felix Jordan is the king of grave claw temple. As far as I know, this kingdom have been in existence before my forefathers were born, just that no one ever mentioned it to us and that's why we never got to know about it," As if he's reading my mind, he suddenly starts talking, but that's not what I want to hear.
"According to what I heard, the kingdom have been in existence for over three thousand years and so far that, king Felix is said to be the sixtieth king that the kingdom have had so far. Princess Avery is the only daughter of King Felix, amongst his other sons. It is said that he has twenty five wives," I snap my head to see him laying on the bed and staring at the ceiling too. Wait! Twenty five wives? How is he coping with them?
"It was said that after the death of his beloved wife, the queen who was Avery's mom, he has remained unmarried for fifty years as he couldn't find someone that makes him happy more than Avery's mom. That was how he ended up having so many wives," He explains and my eyes widens in shock. Fifty years? Could it be that the princess is...
"Avery is far older than the two of us. She should be around three hundred years old or more now," I spring up to a sitting position as my eyes slowly widens in shock. What! That's not even possible. I mean, the lady I saw back there moments ago, look like she's younger than me, how come she's older than my late parents? Is this some sort of joke or something?...
