Love doesn't exist

Roan Vandette His image keep popping up in my head as his name ring repeatedly in my head too. The smirk on his face and the expression freaks me out and gives me goosebumps. 'Alpha Dean' his name echo in my head again and I throw my head back while sighing softly. I'm losing my mind. The possibility of him being the same person king Felix had told me about is very slim, maybe it may just be a coincidence that they bear the same name. I mean, the person King Felix talked about has been in existence for over a thousand years and there's no way he can be this young person that looks even younger than me, right? And also, he didn't mention that the alpha Dean is still alive neither did he mention that he's dead. Recalling the smirk on his face and the look he gave me, I keep thinking that there's more to know about that man. The sound of the footsteps drawing close catch my attention and I tilt my head to find Octavia walking over to the seat. The sight of her disgusts me a lot and I hate her so much. First, for betraying me and second for not feeling remorseful about it. What kind of a monster is she? "Good afternoon my darling," She smile at me, dropping the tray of food she came inside with, on the table. Don't tell me it's what I'm thinking. "I brought you something to eat," She sit next to me and I bit my bottom lip as anger spur through me. She disgusts me and I hope she knows that. "Why do I feel like you're trying to make up for your mistakes and come back into my life? Well, sorry, but there's no space for you again. Not anymore," I smirk at her and she scoff. Of course, I know she may have another intention, but getting on her nerves is the only thing I'm interested in. Resting my head on the window and staring into the garden, a lot of things keep running through my mind. I think going into the human world and exploring there will be a good idea. Who knows, maybe I can finally find peace there. Someone suddenly walk inside the garden and I crease my eyebrows. It's Ariana and she look so angry. "What's wrong with her?" I ask myself as I watch her closely. Just then, someone else walk into the garden. It's a young man and taking a close look at them, I recognize him at once to be the same guy, alpha Dean. I wonder what their relationship is. For the next few minutes, I watch the two talk about something I have no idea of, as he keeps flirting with her while she stand frozen there like a frozen fish. Got lost staring at them, the sudden chilled dark eyes that stares up at me bring me back to reality and my heart skip like a million times as I lock eyes with him. He look dangerous. For the next two minutes, we stare at each other until he finally glance back at Ariana before he finally walk away from the garden. What's going on? Who is he? Those are the questions that keep running through my mind but I have never got an answer to it. All through my day in class, I couldn't concentrate as his image keep popping up in my head. It's finally closing time, but I don't feel like going home yet. Maybe spending a little more time in school will help clear my head before I head back to school. I head straight to the garden after I pick my backpack. The view here is soothing and worth it. It makes me lightheaded. "Roan..." That's Ariana's voice. I turn to see her standing behind me. She's holding the hand of her backpack while having it on her shoulder. "Hmm?" I reply her and she sulk in her lips. "Uhm...about what happened earlier. I can explain. You see...that guy is..." "I didn't ask you to explain. You owe me none," I cut her off and her countenance drop on disappointment. "Excuse me," I walk past her. "Why do you hate me this much?" Sadness and anger resound in her voice, bringing me to an abrupt halt. Gosh! Why won't she leave me the hell alone, huh? I have a lot going on in my mind already and I don't want anyone adding to it for me. "Why? Because I'm a plague you should be running away from? Because I don't worth your time or is it because of her? Because of your mate?" I slowly clench my fists as her last words hits me hard. She can say anything, but referring to that b***h as my mate, is what I'll never take from her. "What? Why are you not saying anything? Is it because I'm telling the truth?" She question again, raising her voice this time. "What's your problem? Do you always like making troubles for people or is it just me you like bothering this much, huh?" I finally turn to face her. I'm already going through so much pain, why the heck is she trying to add to it for me, huh? "You're my problem, Roan! You're my problem! You keep pushing me away...you keep making me feel unwanted...you keep..." "And that's because you're not wanted in my life. It's not by force to make friends with people, and you should learn to stop forcing yourself on people, especially myself. Listen to me, I have no time to spare for you, so just stop bothering me!" I yell at her and she flinch. "Why are you doing this? You're punishing yourself, Roan! You're hurting yourself. Why not accept yourself for who you are and be..." "You've known already? So what? You wanna mock me? Go ahead and do it, because I don't care anymore. Stay the hell away from me..." "But I love you!" She cut me off and a throaty scoff tear through my throat. Tears well up in my eyes, but I fight all of it back. There's no way I'll cry in front of her, not now and not forever. Yes, I am weak, but showing it to her will only make me more pathetic. "Love, you said? Does that s**t exists? Hell no! It doesn't exist as far as I am concerned and I don't give a damn about it. If love exists, then it would've started from the moon goddess! She wouldn't have punished me to this extent..." "Roan, just stop!" She cry while I just smile painfully. "You think I should? What's the point of loving me, when you'll leave me for the stronger one in the end? What's the point of being in love with me when you'll still leave me because of my weakness? Listen to me, you have to wake up from this dream, Ariana. Don't nurse any stupid feelings for me, because it won't work. One more thing, don't ever come anywhere close to me, don't!" I finally turn around and stride out of the garden as I let my tears slid down my cheeks freely. My heart is in pain...
