She gritted her teeth and clenched her fists behind her, as waves of anger sparked through her. She had been tolerating everything that Jeremy had ever done, but this is the last that she would ever take from him. She knows that Jeremy had been hitting on her for years that she had been in school, but she never gave him attention because she never liked him. She was aware of how he had killed innocent people because of her, but she never got angry about it, but hurting Roan is what she wouldn't be able to take. Even if she had just met Roan, she feels attached to him, she feels safe around him, and having anyone hurt him is what she would sacrifice so much for.
"What the hell do you think you're doing, you bastard!" She yelled, walking over to Jeremy who looked less concerned. He scoffed, standing up from his seat as a smirk laced up his lips. The fact that she was giving Roan attention, hurts him. He had killed a couple of guys because of her and she never seemed bothered about it, so why this one?
"Stay out of..." He couldn't finish his statement as a slap landed on his cheek. Yes, Ariana slapped him. He stood frozen on the spot while holding his cheek and staring down at her in shock. For the years that he had been in existence, no one had ever done what Ariana just did. He wished that it was someone else, he wouldn't spare her.
She glared at him before rushing to stand behind the rail Roan was standing on.
"Roan..., get down here, please," She pleaded, and Roan scoffed.
"Why? Why should I come down? Give me a reason why I should come down! Is it not better I jump down the rail and end this misery of a life I'm living? I shouldn't jump down and leave this miserable life of mine, huh?" He yelled painfully, tears falling freely from his eyes. He wished he could share his pain with anyone, he wished he could tell the whole world the pain he was feeling inside, who knows maybe it'll help him lift the burden off his shoulders, but then he has to live and fight his pain in silence, and it was damn killing him.
Ariana stood staring up at him. Seeing the pain in his eyes for some reason, breaks her heart. It hurts to see him in pain. She couldn't help wondering what he meant by that, from the look on his face, she knows that he must be going through a lot inside, she could see through him that he has a burden on him, she could see that he really want to talk about it, but seem afraid to.
Meanwhile, Jeremy and his friends stood watching the drama. They couldn't believe that what happens in movies could ever happen in reality and before their very eyes. Of course, the drama they were watching is a typical scene from some movies.
"We can sort this out, Roan... You can't take your life, just come down please," She pleaded, hoping that he listens to her and change his mind, but it seems that he was never going to change his mind.
"I told you, stay the hell away from me!" He yelled at her and with that, he jumped off the building, and Ariana gasped sharply as her hand flew over to her mouth, her eyes widened in shock.
"Roan..." She screamed, trying to dive past the rail, but Jeremy held her back.
"What the heck do you think you're doing?" Jeremy yelled, pulling her back, but she yanked his hands off and glared at him before rushing to the stairs and leaving the rooftop.
"s**t!" Jeremy cursed under his breath, glaring into space angrily. The fact that Ariana cares about Roan, keeps hurting him and getting him angry.
Meanwhile, Roan landed on the floor with a loud thud while the students around keeps screaming with their eyes widened, but surprisingly, he stood up on his feet like nothing happened. The people that were ever made to jump down the building never survived it.
He sighed frustratingly and sadly before turning to walk away but stopped abruptly as he was welcomed by Ariana standing with her mouth hanging open in shock.
She stood frozen on her spot with her eyes widened in shock. Seeing him on his feet is worth shocking, no one ever survived jumping down the building, and he just did. Snapping out of her trance, she rushed over to him.
"Are you OK? Do you want me to take you to the hospital? Did you break any bone? Come on, my car is parked there," She asked worriedly, grabbing his arm and starting to drag him away, but he yanked her hand off and glared at her before walking away, not saying a word to her.
She stood watching him as he walked away, her heart tightened in pain as she clenched her fist beside her, her eyes brimmed with tears but she fought them back.
"He doesn't want you, why do you keep forcing yourself on him?" Jeremy scoffed behind her, walking in with his friends.
She glared at them and walked away angrily.
Minutes later, Roan sat on the floor in the garden and stared into space as the incident of earlier flashed through his mind. He couldn't bring himself to comprehend why Ariana was that worried. The only people that cared about him were his parents, he didn't grow up knowing what other people's care means, but Ariana seems to be different. Even if they had just met, she had been showing him how much she cares about him.
He sighed softly, stretching his leg on the beautiful leveled grasses, before drawing his trouser up, revealing his bruised leg which was red. He had injured his leg when he jumped down the rail. He touched it and hissed in pain. He blew air on it but stopped abruptly as he felt the presence of someone squatting in front of him and blowing air on his injured leg. Raising his gaze to check who it was, he almost screamed his lungs out at the sight he beheld.
"Ariana? You again?" He asked frustratingly...
