Depressed

It has been one week since I was dethroned and since then, I have been confined inside my room and thinking about my life. Beta Ryder is now the alpha of the blue moon pack, I feel betrayed but I can't do anything. I couldn't even find justice for my late parents, so who am I to fight for the throne? It's been a long week of being inside the room, and it won't hurt going to the woods, right? It's late in the evening, the woods is cold and calm, the gentle wind blows on the leaves and moves them slowly while I just watch the beauty of them. A smile slowly lace up my lips as the thought of my father flash through my mind. Though it has been years, it still feels like it's yesterday. I remember when I was still a child, then father would bring me here to the woods whenever I am sad. I grew up believing that there's a magical power in this part of the woods, since we always returned home then, with me all excited. My eyes catch up with a pink lotus flower and I rush to touch it. I heard it's only ladies that loves flowers and the scent of it, but I guess that's one of the ladies' attitude that I grew up with. The sight of flowers pleases me and I would want to feel every part of them and savor the beauty of them. I grew up loving flowers, and then, my mother would fill my room with flowers. I touch it and it still has the same soothing feelings. For some reason, I feel my whole heavy heart eases at the feel of it. It has been a while since I was this happy, but the magic tricks this flower is playing on me, I must confess that I love it. I sigh as my mind wanders off to Octavia. Even if I don't want to think about her, I know it's not possible. Yes, I didn't love her, not even a bit, but I just liked how supportive she was to me, I mistook her tricks for caring and love but turns out that she's a wolf in sheep's clothing. It's not her fault, if I had not opened up to her, maybe all these wouldn't be happening now. But then, I know I couldn't still hide it forever, knowing those chiefs will frustrate the life out of me until they hear something from me. "Roan!" An angry voice suddenly pierces through my ears and I freeze on the spot. That's the voice I will never forget, the voice I'll never fail to recognize even in my deep sleep. Father's voice. "Father?" I look around the place as a strong wave of fear sparks through me. I blink my eyes and pinch myself to be sure I'm not dreaming and turns out that I'm widely awake. This is strange. "Roan..." His voice keeps drawing closer, and even if I don't see him, his voice speaks volumes of his emotions. He sounds really upset. "Father? Are you there?" I start walking in the direction of the voice, trying to locate him. I know this is crazy, knowing that he's already dead, but I miss him. I really want to see him, even if it's just this once. I miss his voice, his cold face, his warm embrace, and everything. I miss it all and I wish I can do it with him one more time. "Fath..." I trip on a stone and stumble on the floor, letting out a wince. I made to stand up, but freeze on the spot at the sound coming from behind me. It's the growling sound of a wild animal. Turning around swiftly, I almost jump out of my skin at the sight I behold, it's a huge black wolf. Its eyes are the most dangerous sight to behold, the aura surrounding it is as though it's coming from a lycan wolf. Yes, even if I haven't seen a lycan before, I've read books and watched movies about them, I know the emotions of the characters, and right now I think I'm in that same shoes. I gulp down nothing nervously, drawing back from it, but it remains rooted to the same spot. The look on its face makes me feel like it's going to devour me anytime soon. "He...hey! Don't come near me," I keep drawing back until my back is pressing hard against one of the trees. Strangely, the wolf remain standing there and never moved an inch. Maybe it's just waiting for me to run all I want before it starts to hunt me down. If only I'm potent, what's a wolf that'll scare me away? Seconds slowly tick into minutes, and soon, the wolf suddenly starts walking toward me. With every step it takes, I feel my life draining off and my soul leaving me. By now, I can feel my heart beating violently against my ribcage like it's trying to fight for escape from this monster standing before me. I've seen many werewolves before, but none of them is as huge as this, none of them ever had the aura surrounding this particular one. Judging from its look, I think it must be an alpha wolf or maybe a Lycan as I've suspected before. It finally gets to me, and howl loudly, sending chilled sensations over my body. For the next seconds, my breath stop, and my heart stop beating as I anticipate my death, knowing there was no way I'll be saved from this wolf. Suddenly, it moves away from me and stands abruptly, giving me that warning look that tells me that it's planning to hurt me now. The wolf suddenly charge at me, but an arrow from nowhere flings in the air and straight at it, but surprisingly, it dodged the arrow and disappears into thin air. My eyes slowly narrow as I stare into space. For seconds, the scene keeps playing in my head and I clutch the ground tightly as if I'm looking for protection from it. The thought of the arrow suddenly hits me and snapping my head in the direction that the arrow just came from, I see the receding shadow of a white wolf. The same wolf that had come to the castle weeks ago to fight for my mother. Who is she? Why's she always showing up?...
