These many years later, I am uncertain as to whether or not I ever thought that I would see my parents again. I can remember thinking about it, afraid to feel too strongly one way or the other. Things were happening so quickly that I don't think either Caedrus or I had time to think about much of anything long term. My father had said he would meet us at Hammercleft. I remember feeling that if I went there, somehow everything would be made right, but as for whether or not either of my parents had actually survived the night, I just couldn't think about it.
