As Exa turns and starts going home,it felt like something was dragging him back Exa stops and turns to go back and take the book, when he remembered the promise he made to his father this stopped him and he turned turns to go again as he felt a stronger force pulling him to the book it draged him till he placed his palm on the book,"hey kid i thought you just returned this book "says the book keeper looking at Exa with the stink eye" yes it was me "says Exa "now you should do your job and give me the book"says Exa looking at the man"okay kid"he said handing over the book to Exa,"don't call me a kid"says Exa smiling evily "hmmm children of nowadays always trying to make believe that they are adults"says the book keeper laughing, Exa didn't mind he took the book and went to the table he read and practiced and finally,went back home.

When Alexander got home as he walked into the house "Alexander why are you coming back home now"asks Mr Seville looking at Exa suspiciously "ummm there was a little hold up at the library i was at the back of the line that's why I'm late "lied Exa and lucky for him Mr Seville fell for the line "you were not back early yesterday, so we could not go fishing now go get the fishing equipments out so that we can go and come back early okay "says Mr Seville to Exa"sure "says Exa as he walked into the store room and after some few minutes comes out with the equipments and then they headed

for the river.

The road leading to the river was a very lonely road as Exa and Mr Seville walked along the road they walked as fast as possible so that they could get there and back home before sun-down "dad this road always feel creepy each time i go through it i can not just get over it"says Exa to his father "Exa it is said that the spirit's of the people who died in the river lived in the road they came out occasionally "says Mr Seville"do you believe the stories "asked Exa"of course not why would i, spirits go to the under world after death not to return again "answered Mr Seville confidently.

Alexander father didn't know he was right but terribly wrong .

when Exa read the book evil spirits sensed it and came to Hobbit to find him.

Finally they arrives at the river"oh no Exa i forget to bring bait" "now what are we going to do, are we going to walk back home to get bait?" asks Exa "of course not answers Mr Seville that will take the whole day Exa you are going to attach the line to the rod , while i look for bait okay then here you go "said Mr Seville giving the line and the rod to Exa,Exa takes it and started working on it, while Mr Seville looks for bait.

as Exa looks ahead he sees the figure of a man just like his father "dad, is that you"the person turned around "yes it's me Exa" says the evil spirit "you don't sound like my dad, and yo...... the spirit's face changed back into a monstrous face."You do not look a bit like my dad"the evil spirit walked closer to Exa, Ahhhhh go away you demon"the evil spirit progressed towards Exa,Exa remembered one of the protection spells that he had read about he chanted the spell and pressed his hand forward nothing happened and the spirit was nearly at him he closed his eyes for a moment chanted the spell and opened his eyes, they were as dark as night as he pushed his hands forwards and there was a blast from his palms which hit the spirit and the spirit disappeared everything thing went back to normal except one thing,the blast that left Exa's palm left , leaving behind a symbol in his palms.

When his dad came back with bait Exa has already packed up their things Mr Seville looks at Exa and for a brief moment there was silence until Exa broke the silence "dad we need to get out of this place"says Exa "but why i just found bait"said showing Exa the little bag.

Exa told him every thing that happened how he blasted the spirit magic, when he was done Mr Seville laughed and said it must be a dream okay now lets start fishing "says Mr Seville"would you say it was a dream when you see this "says Exa opening his palms Mr Seville sees the symbol on Exa's palms"i,m sorry dad i disobeyed you, and i lied to you you told me not to read that book again, well i did and when you asked me what made me come back late i lied it was not because of a queue it was because i stayed and read the book,i am so sorry dad please forgive me"confessed Exa "Exa if you did not read that book, none of this would be happening right now"says Mr Seville "dad if not for the magic i acquired i would not be alive right now "Exa defended himself"but again Exa if you had not read the book, your life would not be threatened "said Mr Seville"dad you can scold me all you want but lets get out of here i can sense them coming"they both starts running after some few hours they both get home Mr Seville immediately called for a family meeting , when everyone was seated he began"we can all remember that i told Exa not to read that book again"he looked around "yes we remember"said the rest of the family "now because of Alexander's disobedience there are now evil spirits in Hobbit"UGHs filled the room, Then Mr Seville told everyone what happened at the river,then he faced Exa "show them your palms Exa"says Mr Seville Exa opened his palms but the symbol was gone. It was here just now i don't know where it went to, did you do it Exa ?"asked Mr Seville"no i did not , why would i ?"asked Exa "i guess the mark disappeared on it's own "said Julia "yes it could be true "agreed Lucian, after a while Mr Seville saw that there was no reasonable explanation for how the mark on Exa's palms disappeared so he speaks "i have seen that none of us have a reasonable explanation for how the mark on Exa's palms disappeared so everyone can go to bed "with this said Mr Seville and Mrs Seville went to their room. As Julia, Lisa and Oregon with sleepy eyes stumbles to their rooms Exa was all alone standing in the middle of the room when Lucian walked up to him "Exa,i hope the spirits don't come looking for you to night i will advice you to go around the house and Lock all the doors and windows to keep the spirits out in case they come"said Lucian while laughing loudly Exa looks at Lucian his temper rising but he did nothing because he knew that he was the one at fault.

after some time of sitting all by himself in the parlour"the deed has been done there is no turning back,i have to learn this magic because that is the only way that i can save my family from the evil that is now in a town that was once a peaceful town"thought Exa,he stood up and was about to start when a thought came into his mind "if only reading the book called them to the town and using the magic called many of them to the river i won't train here i will go very far from my house before training.

after this thought he went to bed .

The next morning as Exa strolled to the main road he saw saw one of his friends running towards the town square "hey Luscious where are you going"asked Exa"something extremely strange is going on there is said to be a symbol in the middle of the town square"said Luscious hastily "just wait let me go tell my mom and dad first okay, can you wait"said Exa "mom, dad there is said to be a strange symbol in the middle of the town square i have to go see it"said Exa "no Exa do not go anywhere i do not want you to get hurt what if when you are there,they find you, what if it is a trap they know you will come to see the symbol and they drew it there,Exa do not go "begged Mrs Seville"mom if i am ever going to fix this mistake i have to go get information of what i am dealing with okay mom i will be fine "says Exa" i will only let you go on two conditions the first you get back home immediately you see it and one of your brothers go with you "says Mr Seville"i agree dad, and this time,i would not disobey you"says Exa as he headed for Oregon's room "get dressed Oregon,we are going somewhere"says Exa as he enters the room.

Both Oregon,Exa and Luscious walked hastily towards the town square on getting there seeing the symbol Exa was surprised "Oregon look it's the same as the symbol as the one on my palms "says Exa surprisingly"we have seen what we came here to see let us get going back home i made a promise to dad"said Exa turning around"bye Luscious "said Oregon "by the way,Exa i want you to to be at my birthday party next tomorrow"said Luscious "okay"says Exa as he turned he sees the spirit in a distance as someone passes through it "let us go Oregon they are here as Exa and Oregon starts running the spirit appears in front of them, now Oregon saw the spirit and shouts,Exa closed his eyes "to hell you devil"says Exa as he opens his eyes a blast left his palms which left behind the strange symbol"let us go now because they are coming here says Exa to Oregon and then they starts running back home they ran as fast as possible finally they gets back home.

as soon as they gets back home Oregon retired to his room and Exa goes straight to Mr and Mrs Seville's room when Exa get there he knocks and enters he greets them then "mom you were right it was a trap"says Exa "it was"asked Exa mom "where is Oregon?"asked Mr Seville quickly "he is in his room lying down"answered Exa "look Exa the deed has been done there is no turning back now, instead you have to learn this magic because that is the only way that you can save yourself and us your family"said Mr Seville "okay dad "says Exa" and look Exa go have some fun, don't let what is happening to over whelm you okay"says Mr Seville "yeah"says Exa to Mr Seville "talking about fun,dad my best friend is having a birthday party held up in his house he made me promise i will be there next tomorrow that is when he said his party will commence, please dad you said i should have fun"says Exa "okay but be back early the spirits move around more at night than day time okay"warned Mr Seville "sure dad Thanks"says Exa as he leaves the room headed to his room.

the next day Exa woke up early jumped from the bed pick his best clothes,he washes them till they were sparkling clean "all done he "says Alexander whipping his face with a piece of cloth he hangs them on the line and then goes to begin his chores.

The next day Exa put on the clothes and goes to the party. As he walked quickly to Luscious's house before any evil spirits sensed him around finally when he gets there Luscious was still preparing.
