Alora’s POV    I stood there with his face in my hands. I watched as the portal to Hades took his soul and then closed, leaving me with an emptiness I never thought imaginable. I was gasping for breath as I cried my heart out.     “No! Give him back,” I screamed.     I gasped to fill my lunges as I sobbed and cried out, “Please! Give him back.”    I placed my hands and face on his now still chest and cried out, “please, don’t leave me.”     I felt Aziel’s hand on my back trying to sooth me the best he could as he pet my black feathers.
