CHAPTER 6

1009 Words
Nadia’s POV "Father, please you cannot do this to me!" I cried out getting up from where I sat in anguish and sorrow. "Tell him the truth now!" I turned to Rosa raging as my eyes turned blue. I was overwhelmed with sorrow and it triggered my lunar madness again. "Keep your distance Nadia!" I heard my father roar at me but I was too focused to reach Rosa. This was my world unlike my tribulation, I could do whatever I wanted to get the truth out in the open. "You pathetic liar! After stealing the man I love, you still had the guts to accuse me to cover your shame," I surged enough power to my hand as I attempted to grab her neck. Moses predicted my intention and shoved me away with a force that sent me flying. I crashed into a brick pillar hurting my back. "Ahhhh!" I screamed charging at them as my mind was no longer under my control. My eyes were blurred with hate and revenge for the two who stood in front of me. But I was shackled by my father's warriors making it impossible for me to reach them. "You can't do this to me! I'm innocent! Let me go!" I yelled as they dragged me out of everyone's presence. "I am sorry about this mess everyone but it is clear now that Nadia was the root of my wife's misfortune. Please do go back to your various homes and remain safe," I heard Moses say before I was dragged out of the hall. I was locked up in the dungeon, left to drawn in my sorrow and devastation. This was so unfair, what did I do to deserve this? How could my world fall apart in a brief period? My only sin was loving a man who I thought loved me back. In the darkness, I cried myself to sleep. I woke up to the scattering sound of stones that were thrown in my cell. 'Are they trying to stone me to death now?' I thought in my mind as I sat up to see what was happening. "My lady," Cinny's tiny voice resounded in my ears. I rushed up to her glad to see her down here. "Oh my lady, I am sorry that something like this befell you. I am so sorry for not being able to do anything for you," she wailed and I reached to clean her tears. It was nice to know that someone was crying for me. "Don't cry Cin, it is not your fault that something like this happened to me. I am the one to blame, I went ahead of myself. I was too selfish and greedy," I consoled her hurting deep within me. The pain of not seeing Cinny again shattered my heart. She was so kind and sweet. Even though she was a maid, I took her as a sister dear to me. "You have to live no matter what my Lady. Please do not forsake yourself, I pray that the moon goddess will hear your voice and save you from the disaster," she muttered holding my hand while she cried. Unfortunately, I had forsaken myself the day Moses denied his love for me. And the moon goddess was no use, she had strictly warned me before my tribulation. I was only paying for the seed I sewed. Later in the night, I was released and banished from the pack. I was left to wander in the forest filled with darkness that engulfed my soul. I staggered without direction, losing all hope of redemption. I was cast away again for a cause I didn't commit. As I walked through the eerie forest, little splinters pierced my foot. I cried from the pain of my injury and the betrayal I had faced. Unknown voices and sounds filled my head making me lose my mind again. "Ahhhh," I yelled holding my hair as my madness kicked in. "Please don't do this to me. Take away the pain I beg you," pain surged through my body as I fought the accusing voices in my head. "How wicked of her!" "She should be punished". "I can't believe she could do such a thing." I rolled on the ground trying to find a way to end my pain. The sounds grew louder and the forest made it worse with its trees that waved aside in fury. Unable to make everything stop, I howled into the night scaring the night creatures that wandered around the bushes. My wolf took over from my inability to subdue it. It ran around killing whatever had life. This was my curse. I killed and ate the beasts of the forest to satisfy my hunger. But no matter the amount of kills I ate, my wolf still rumbled for more. I decided to eat the fresh leaves and grasses regardless of their kind. Whether it was poisonous or not, I ate it to calm my wolf. Subsequently, the pain died down and I began to get myself again. Exhausted from my rampage, I collapsed on the cold ground. The next morning, the warm sun slapped my face waking me up from sleep. However, my consciousness was a wrong turn. The excruciating pain I felt from last night came again and this time with full force. My head banged continuously and I screamed begging for it to stop. When my trouble didn't stop, my eyes wandered around the forest looking for the perfect place to end all my pain. After all, there was no use in me staying in this world again. It was obvious that I was meant to perish. I hurriedly crawled to the tree that had a greenish loop that could strangle me to death. Using my last strength, I grabbed the tree and wrapped the loop around my neck. "This was the only option to end my sorrow", I whispered letting the loop choke me to death. "Oh my f*****g God!" I heard a masculine voice under me.
