Twelve –––––––– LILY PACED AROUND the room, waiting for Monster to return. An hour passed before the door opened again, but her stomach dipped in disappointment when Tudor walked in. “Has he changed his mind?” she asked, suddenly nervous. If he decided she couldn’t be trusted to work on his face, what would become of her? She had no other use to him. If she couldn’t make a difference to his birthmark, would he just have her killed?
