RUBY'S POV I sat across from Lilac at the little café on the corner. I’d just finished unloading everything on her, from Dominic's dead wife to his daughter and the money. Every little detail spilled out of me like a flood. Lilac as usual, sat calmly, listening without interrupting. It was one of the things I loved most about her.
