Chapter 26
Chapter 26 Cindy’s memory “Are you ready to board Melanie?” The captain asks and I can barely hear him over the loud propeller noise of the chopper so I just nod my head in return. I climb aboard and put on my head phones as the captain prepares to lift us off the helipad on the hospital’s roof. I have only ever worked as a trauma surgeon stationed in physical hospitals and I was the head of trauma in our Detroit hospital but now I have been challenged to do more. My chief of surgery has given me the job to go and train the doctors in a medical camp in Iraq where there an ongoing war. I need to stay there until they are well equipped with skills on how to handle traumas which am very sure are many over there. I l
