Akira lay in bed, her eyes closed as she tried to drift off to sleep. But as soon as she began to relax, the nightmares started again.
She was back in her father's study, her petal trembling with fear as her father's anger raged on. She could feel the pain and the helplessness as he ripped her petal from her body, leaving her feeling shattered and broken.
She woke up with a start, her heart racing and her sheets soaked with sweat. It was the same nightmare she had been having for weeks, ever since her father had hurt her.
She got out of bed and went to the bathroom, splashing water on her face to try and calm down. But the memory of the nightmare lingered, haunting her.
Just then, she heard a soft knock on the door. "Akira, are you okay?" Kaid's voice was gentle and concerned.
Akira opened the door, and Kaid was standing there, his eyes filled with worry. "Hey, I had a bad dream," she said, trying to brush it off.
But Kaid knew her too well. He could see the fear and pain in her eyes, and he knew that she was struggling. "Do you want to talk about it?" he asked, his voice soft and encouraging.
Akira hesitated, unsure of how to share her pain with Kaid. But as she looked into his eyes, she knew that she could trust him. "It was just a nightmare," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "But it felt so real."
Kaid nodded, his eyes filled with understanding. "I'm here for you, Akira," he said. "You're not alone. We'll face this together, okay?"
Akira felt a surge of gratitude towards Kaid. She knew that she couldn't have made it through this without him, and she was grateful for his love and support.
As she looked into his eyes, she felt a sense of peace wash over her. She knew that she wasn't alone, that she had someone who cared about her, someone who would always be there to support her.
"Thank you, Kaid," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
Kaid smiled, his eyes filled with love and concern. "Anytime, Akira," he whispered back. "I'll always be here for you."
Akira nodded, feeling a sense of comfort wash over her. She knew that she could always count on Kaid, and that knowledge gave her the strength to face her fears.
As she stood there, she realized that she didn't have to face her nightmares alone. She had Kaid, and together, they could overcome anything.
With that thought, Akira felt a sense of determination ignite within her. She knew that she couldn't change the past, but she could change the future. And she was determined to do just that.
"Let's get out of here," she said, her voice filled with determination. "Let's go somewhere beautiful, somewhere that will help me forget my nightmares."
Kaid nodded, his eyes filled with excitement. "Where did you have in mind?" he asked, his voice filled with anticipation.
Akira thought for a moment, her mind racing with possibilities. And then, she knew exactly where she wanted to go. "The beach," she said, her voice filled with excitement. "Let's go to the beach."
Kaid grinned, his eyes filled with joy. "I love the beach," he said. "Let's go!"
And with that, Akira and Kaid set off on their adventure, determined to face their fears and find happiness together.
