Chapter 3: The Gift of Trust

Akira's heart raced as she carefully plucked a delicate flower from her own body. She had been going steady with Kaid for a few weeks now, and she felt like she could trust him with her life. She wanted to give him a special gift, something that would show him how much he meant to her.

As she wrapped the flower in a small paper bag, Akira's mind wandered back to the day her father had tried to pluck a petal from her flower. She had thought that she would never be able to trust anyone with her gift again, but Kaid had proven her wrong. When Kaid arrived at her doorstep, Akira's heart skipped a beat. She handed him the paper bag, her eyes locked on his. "I want to give you something," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Kaid's eyes lit up with curiosity as he opened the bag and pulled out the flower. His eyes widened in awe as he took in its beauty. "Akira, it's stunning," he breathed.

Akira smiled, feeling a sense of pride and happiness. "It's a special flower," she said. "One that only blooms on my body, and can only be plucked by my true mate."

Kaid's eyes met hers, and Akira could see the understanding in them. "You're giving me a piece of yourself," he said, his voice filled with emotion. "Thank you, Akira. I promise to treasure it always."

As Kaid brought the flower to his nose and inhaled its sweet scent, Akira felt a sense of peace wash over her. She knew that she had made the right decision, that Kaid was someone she could trust with her heart.

"I have something to confess," Kaid said, his eyes locked on hers. "I've been having these strange dreams, dreams that feel so real. And in them, I'm not just a coyote, I'm something more. Something powerful."
