Alex's POV From the corner of my eye, I kept watching Jaxon. He hadn’t said much since we sat down, just scowled at his plate like it had personally offended him. Dorian and I, on the other hand, were halfway through our food, laughing over something dumb he’d said about one of the instructors and something he had seen earlier from the said instructor. I didn't mind the fact that Dorian was trying to avoid any sort of awkward silences, but what I did mind, though, was the thundercloud sitting two seats to my left.
