"The Force Of Chaos"

Reborn Of Demigods

The ancient temple of Zeus stood tall as the grandsons and granddaughters of the gods walked into the mystic gate of heaven with Hermes, the magnificent sight of the magnanimous edifice from a distance made everyone opened their mouth wide agape as they walked through the city of pure gold, the floor shinning in pure unadulterated gold, every thing looks perfect and unimaginable as they all looked around.

Tyrese "Woooow!" he said slowly and continued "Mhen! I always knew I'll be in heaven" he said to himself

Daisy "This is unimaginable, we are all in heaven" she couldn't believe it, not in her wildest dream would she had thought she'll walk into heaven alive, they never thought this day will come.

Bruce "Yeah absolutely unbelievable, I've always thought heaven was a myth, I didn't imagine it actually exist in this form" he said as they walked towards Zeus temple

Hermes "This is just a fraction of it, you've not seen it all, and you need to die before you can actually come here"

Paul "Oh! Wait are we dead?" he asked Hermes in a sarcastic tone

Hermes "No you're not" He chuckled at the rhetorical question

Daphne "Of cause not stupid, if I died I think I'll remember, we literally walked in through a porthole to get here" she answered him

Hermes "That's no porthole Daphne that's the mystic gate of heaven located on earth"

Daisy "So you mean that gate has been on earth all this while and no one saw it?" she asked

Hermes "No one can, it stays closed and hidden to every mortal, gods had used in on many occasions to visit earth, to fight most of your wars and battles without you knowing" he answered her and it looks as though he's not bored by their questions

Bruce "Oh so the gods visits earth and goes as they wish? Hmm! that's definitely comforting" he said as they got to the entrance of Zeus temple

Hermes "I know you all have many questions, all your questions will be answered in no time" as the door opened, they walked in.

In the temple of Zeus Daphne couldn't believe she's in the temple of the gods, she has just one question in her heart which she's been trying to figure out an answer to, the moment has finally come for her to let out her grievances, determined to get all her heartfelt pain poured out, she looked around as they walked in, admiring the super attractiveness of the interior of the temple, Tyrese on the other hand focused on a statue of a god in lady form with a captivating body positioned strategically at the edge of the temple bowing down on one knee, he watched as he passed by the statue and somehow he sensed there are other statue in the temple positioned strategically at the edges, his eyes moved from the left slowly, he noticed Poseidon and Ares standing together, he surreptitiously look to the right hand side, his eyes met with Aphrodite who was standing close to Apollo, he took a long gaze at Aphrodite admiring her, she smiled at him, he knew he's been caught in the act and Aphrodite been the goddess of love knew the intent of his heart, of cause she's a goddess and he couldn't hide the intent of his heart from her even if he tried, he smiled back and tried not to look her way anymore, Bruce was the first person to notice Zeus seated on his throne, he couldn't take his eyes off his magnificent throne and the way it dazzles with fire moving through it.

Paul "Now that's what I call a throne" as they all got closer to Zeus throne

Daisy "Hmmm I'm wowed" she said silently, immediately they got to the throne, Zeus stood up and the gods bowed on one knee, Hermes quickly urged them all to go on their knees, they understood his act even though it wasn't that obvious.

Zeus "Rise" He commanded, they all rose and stood as he moved closer and call their names one by one in the manner at which they stood.

Zeus "Bruce son of Ares, Tyrese Son of Poseidon, Paul son of Hermes, Daisy Daughter of Apollo, Daphne" he paused and took a long look at her with her hoodie and face mask, he continued "The most beautiful lady and Daughter of Aphrodite" Daphne looked up at Zeus as her eye balls glitters in the hoodie.

Zeus "Let go of the hoodie please" he asked politely, everyone looked in her direction expectantly, especially Tyrese who leaned forward to have a better look, Daphne felt somewhat reluctantly, the request is rather too polite for her to say no, she fiddled with her hoodie for a while holding on to it, then she finally pulled it backward sluggishly.

Zeus "And the mask" he asked in a sweet deep voice, she held on to the string on her left ear as she removed it revealing her face partially with her deep long black hair let loosed, she put her right finger on the string of hair hanging down on her face, she hides it at the back of her right ear and looked at Zeus, even Daisy couldn't believe she's that beautiful, if she's this beautiful why is she hoarding her beauty she wonders, she knew what she'll do if she had a face like that; her beauty radiates all over the temple, Aphrodite understood instantly what her pain was and why she kept her identity hidden to men who should have been her companion.

Tyrese opened his mouth wide in awe "Uhnnn! jeeez!" he murmured, no where has he seen a beautiful lady like that, even in beauty she can't be compared to Aphrodite or any other lady he has seen, Bruce who is somehow disgusted at Tyrese gesture looked at him, his facial expression was that of WTF*** "Dude Cmon" he said disappointed at Tyrese who couldn't keep his act together.

Tyrese didn't care what he thinks of him, he quickly shrugged aside his thoughts "I saw her first" he said in affirmation, Paul and Bruce were shocked at his statement, they shook their heads

Zeus "Now that's better" as he went back to his seat " I brought you all here, that's a risk I took for a purpose" as he sat looking straight into their eyes he continued "As I speak the forces of Chaos is growing and man will soon become history if we do not act fast"

Tyrese raised up his hand half way, they all looked into his direction, he got scared and tried to hide his hand in fear.

Zeus "Let them speak freely" he spoke softly "Go on" he said

Tyrese "Thank you Papa Zeus or should I call you King Zeus or Supreme god" he asked nervously

Bruce, Daisy, Daphne and Paul all echoed his name at the same time "Tyrese" in a way of caution

Tyrese "Okay, Okay" he tried to put himself in order

Zeus "Call me Zeus" he said in a calm tone

Tyrese " Zeus sir, my question is why are we fighting the battle of the gods, with all due respect, he bowed down his head, we are mere mortals, not that I question the reason we were all brought here or the inability of the gods to fight Chaos, I know the gods are more than capable and this should be like a piece of cake"

Zeus smiled "This is not the battle of the gods, it is your battle, we don't intend interfering into your affairs anymore, that's why we brought you all here"

Daisy " Are you saying you've been fighting or interfering in our battles and we all don't know about it?"

Zeus "Yes, we've hidden in plain sight for years keeping the balance together between Chaos, the heaven and annihilation of mankind"

Paul "Then why don't you just do it again? I mean you're gods right?, it should be easier for gods to fight and keep the balance together than five mortals, who are inexperienced about mystical warfare"

Ares "We can, but it's not going to end well this time" he said

Tyrese " How do you mean not going to end well?" he asked

Poseidon "You see for thousand of years we've been fighting Chaos as gods with everything we have, we've kept her at bay" he continued

Poseidon "But each time we fight her and overcome she keeps growing stronger"

Apollo "She kept coming back, wrecking new havoc and destroying everything in it's path even though we eventually curtailed her, she never stopped, like a ripple effect she kept coming back"

Aphrodite "With encounter she gets acclimatized to our powers, therefore killing her becomes difficult"

Daphne "So that's why you need us, a group of mortals who she has not fought before, you're changing the terms of the battle" she said convincingly.

Hermes who is standing on the same line with them joined the conversation "Yes Daphne, the battle will no longer be on her terms but ours"

Bruce "So how do we defeat Chaos as mortals?"

Zeus "No you're not fighting her as mortals" he paused brifely "you're fighting her as gods, demigods" The surprise on all their faces was very obvious, as they looked at eachother in total mixed feelings, they don't know whether to be happy they will become demigods or be scared that they are going to fight the battle the gods can't fight, the feelings of excitement in them supercedes all other feelings, becoming demigods is the greatest achievement for any mortal.

Paul who was never been forward to ask any question couldn't hold himself together "How do we become demigods?" he asked curiously knowing he's speaking the mind of the others. Zeus looked at the faces of all his children one at a time as they all smiled knowing becoming demigods for them is the beginning of a new era and the journey will never remain the same, he stood up from his seat as the gods went on one knee, he approached them with his footsteps followed by mild thunder, they all gazed at him noticing the gods are on their knees, they all followed in their action by going on their knees, he stopped midway.

Zeus "Rise" he commanded them and continued "Becoming demigods comes with a price and a level of sacrifice you all have to pay"

Bruce "What sacrifice?"

Zeus "That can be discussed later, tonight we feast" he said in a joyful tone

Tyrese "Yes!, that's a great idea, who's hungry?" he raised his right hand up to signify jokingly but no one seems to care

Daphne "Why do you always like been so dramatic?" she asked. Bruce looked at his wrist watch as the time reads 5pm, he's a lover of American football knowing he'll be missing watching his favourite team play, but that's of no great importance to him at the moment as the faith of the world is in their hands.

It's 5pm and the Los Angeles Cobras were getting ready in their locker room, all the players were dressed up except for Pharrell who was lacing his boot, the coach came in and urged all players to report to the lobby for a quick motivation, something to get them inspired for the game. Pharrell knew in his heart that as the captain of the team, he needed to get his head in the game big time without any distraction, every morning he visits the gym and jugs over 500 miles, this has become a routine for him and it's one of the reasons he's well built, fit and about 5 foot 10 inches tall, he mastered the art of the game with the help of his late dad who was a legend in the game; not quite long after every one exited the locker room, Pharrell started having some strange feelings, this made him to quickly laced his boot stood up, looked around in panic "Who's there?" he asked in fear, "Who's there? Show yourself" from no where a mysterious looking shadow manifested behind him, he saw the shadow through the mirror infront of him, fear gripped him "Oh shiiit" before he could say another word, Erebos manifested Infront of him, knocked him out cold, grabbed him and they disappeared into the void and appeared in the Realm of Chaos who was impatiently waiting for them to return.

Erebos carried him on his shoulders as he walked towards Chaos

Chronos "You really knocked him out cold, is he dead?" he asked

Erebos "No, he's just in a coma" he dropped him on the human sacrificial alter, Chronos tried to open one his eyes to see if his dead

Chronos"You really knocked him into coma" he opened one of his eyes

Chaos "Stop playing with the human" he flinched at the assertive voice of his master who's so impatient to take a new form. "Wake the mortal"

Erebos "Yes master" he moved closer to Pharrell, placed his hand on his chest, the colour of his eyes changed from black to red, "Rise" he commanded, he stood up with quick reflex and tried to run but an unknown force held him at a spot.

Chaos "Turn around" he said, Pharrell not knowing what came over him, couldn't help but turned around gently as he begins to shiver in fear, looking around he finds it difficult to comprehend what he's seeing, the environment coupled with the sight of Chronos and Erebos, the overwhelming fear that engulfed him is immeasurable, with the last courage within him he opened his mouth with shaky lips

Pharrell "Where am I?" he asked shakingly

Chaos moved around him "Perfect" he says "Hmmm I can smell the potential in him"

Pharrell "Please somebody tell me what's going on"

Chaos "For thousand of years no mortal has ever walked into my realm, but today I'll take what is rightfully mine" he moved about in quick succession around him creating a great whirlwind, Pharrell went down on his knees, the intense speed of the air generated by Chaos movement started choking him as the whirlwind generated sparking light, Chronos and Erebos moved back, at the speed of light Chaos took him off the ground and possessed him in the air with his hands spread wide, he dropped dead to the ground. Erebos moved closer

Erebos "Master" he called out gently, Chronos moved closer in doubt

Chronos "Did it work" he asked Erebos

Erebos "Let's find out"

They moved closer to him to find out if he was still alive, he tapped off the ground with his two hands and landed with his left hand on his left knee and the other knee on the ground, they shuddered and held eachother

Chronos "Master is that you?" He asked, Chaos with his head bowed, lift up his head gently, his eye balls started glowing, the intensity of possessing a mortal body overwhelmed him, he looked up and screamed "I'm alive" a powerful yellowish light glowed out of his eyes, so powerful it penetrated the walls of his domain, illuminated the sky and created a blast of cosmic rays that spread all over.

The illumination in the sky was so powerful that Zeus felt it at the dinner table where he was feasting with the other gods and their grandchildren, the long table is filled with foods of different kinds every piece of eating cutleries and utensils were in gold, he seems to be the only one that knew something was wrong, at least the only person that felt it, he paused on putting the food in his mouth and gazed at everyone, they all sensed he was looking at them, they turned to see what was wrong, except for Tyrese who was busy enjoying his meal

Tyrese "Hmmm this is delicious" he took a piece of beef and stuffed it in his mouth, he grabbed a cup of wine and tried to drink it when he noticed everyone is looking towards his direction "Whhaaat?" he asked

Zeus stood up and made an attempt to leave "Everyone should try and get some rest, tomorrow morning you will be reborn" he left them all at the table.

Paul "What does he mean by we will be reborn" he asked

Daphne "I guess he meant We'll become demigods"

Paul "Ohhh"

Daisy "Something is not right" Poseidon interrupted her suspiciousness before everything gets out of hand "You all get some sleep, Hermes will take you all to your rooms"

Hermes "Oh yes, everyone come on follow me"

Tyrese "Oh come on, don't I get to finish my food?" he dropped the chicken laps in his hands and marched behind them.

Bruce "Hermes can you tell us what's going on" they all have an inclination that something was wrong but they couldn't quite place it.

Daphne "Yes, something is definitely wrong"

Hermes "The less you all know for now the better, try and get some sleep" he showed them to their room

Tyrese "Wait we all get to sleep in one room?"

Hermes "Yes for bonding, good night" he walked away

Daisy "What! bonding, bonding?" she was becoming erratic when Bruce tapped her don't worry I don't bite he chuckled, he opened the room, they all stepped in and became wowed.

Paul "No way, this is massive" Daisy and Daphne moved forward, Daphne couldn't believe her eyes, she looked at Daisy with a big smile

Daphne "What did you say?"

Daisy was so amazed at the massiveness of the beds, she counted five beds all together with beautiful gold like bedsheets, it's like nothing she's seen before, not long after everyone fell asleep she found herself been teleported to an unknown realm trying to hide from the scary looking creatures in human form that were walking about, their faces looks a bit deformed and they all carried strange weapons, she discovered that everything in the realm looks different, she felt a hand on her shoulder and tried to scream, quickly her mouth was covered, she recognized the smell of the strange hand, it was Daphne, she removed her hand "What are you doing here?" she asked

Daphne "How did we get here?" she asked curiously

Daisy "I don't know, the last thing is...." she tried to remember but couldn't, she continued, "I think something brought us here for a reason"

Daphne "What could have brought us to this frigging scary place?"

Daisy "I don't know?" she paused for some seconds and continued "Zeus never told us we'll be tested, could this be a test?" she said quietly

Daphne "A test? You've got to be kidding me"

Daisy "I'm not, we need to leave this place" she made a move forward

Daisy "What was that" she flinched, a quick shadow sped past them, she started panicking

Daphne "That's not good, you need to do as I say" she said quietly and started walking backward slowly, Daisy couldn't understand why she was moving away, she looks very confused and at the same time sacred "Daisy.... run, it's coming back" she screamed, the sound of her voice alerted all other creatures, they turned to look in their direction and started chasing them, Daphne knew she's seen the shadow creature before, she doesn't understand why it showing up again, she started running so fast for her dear life as Daisy followed.

Daisy "What was that?" she asked panicking, both of them had no idea where they were running to, their immediate instinct was to escape from the shadow creature and all the creatures chasing them, from no where it appeared infront of them and knocked Daphne to the ground, she fell backward, Daisy paused and started screaming while Daphne crawled backward in fear

Daphne "Save yourself, run Daisy" she screamed, this is it she thought to herself I can't escape this, this was the first time fear would grip her and send goosebumps down her spine, she could see it's a human figure with glowing scary eye balls, it bent down and gazed into her eyes as if it was doing something to her, Daisy couldn't run she started crying "No this is not happening" as she covered her mouth, between the twinkle of an eye Daphne passed out and stood up on her feet, the colour of her eye balls changed from blue to red, she stood as the creature went after Daisy who just stood there, it knocked her to the ground with speed, she tried to fight back, all her strength started failing her, the only thing she could do was to scream as she could see Daphne looking weird like she was been possessed, she tried to battle with it, "let me go she screamed" all the creatures had gathered around her, but this particular shadow creature held her down firmly, the more she looked into it eyes the more she became weak, her body system started falling apart, all she could murmured was "No! No! No!" Daphne held her and called her "Daisy! Daisy! wake up" she woke up behold it wasl a nightmare.

Immediately she woke up and saw Daphne she shrugged in fear and tried to free herself from her grip, she gazed around and noticed it was already morning and she was alone with Daphne in the room.

Daphne "Are you okay? you were murmuring some words in your sleep"

Daisy "I'm fine" she replied, she walked away from her with doubts in her mind that she's not really fine.

It's day break and everyone gathered outside the temple of Zeus where they were been addressed, all other gods, both young and old were seen walking around and some gathered at corners holding different kinds of weapons as if they were getting ready for battle, Daisy walked towards Zeus, Bruce and the rest, she joined them, looked around and saw a particular building afar off standing alone, the structure looks a bit different, about the only building in the area and heavily guarded.

Zeus "It's time for you all to make some sacrifice, that will be leaving your mortal body behind and become demigods"

Tyrese "You say what now?" he didn't believe he heard him right

Bruce "What do you mean by sacrifice and leaving our mortal body behind?" he asked

Zeus "You all have to resurrect as demigods"

Paul "Wait if I hear you correctly, did you just use the word resurrect?"

Zeus "Yes I did"

Daisy "That means we have to die?"

Zeus "Literally yes" Tyrese became so scared hearing they have to die

Tyrese "I didn't sign up for this, no no I didn't sign up for this" he tried moving back but was stopped by Bruce

Bruce "And where do you think you're going?" he looked into his eyes meanly

Tyrese "Didn't you hear him, he said we need to die, I don't wanna die man"

Daphne "You're gonna die anyway, something will definitely kill you out there, end of the world remember?" she said sarcastically, Tyrese just stood still in total disappointment, "I don't know why you all are not freaking out right now" he turned around and face Zeus

Daisy "Let do this, as long as I'm going to be reborn as demigod, I'm in" she said happily

Paul "Me too"

Bruce "Me too"

Daphne "Let do this"

Zeus "Take them to the Resurrection water"

Poseidon and Aphrodite walked behind them as they walked through a small bushy path with beautiful flowers, the entire place looks desserted with tall trees everywhere, they all look around as they walked

Paul "Heaven is indeed beautiful" he said admiring the beautiful flowers and trees that stood tall.

Daisy "Yes it is"

Tyrese "Except the part that we are all going to die right now"

Bruce "Oh shut up Tyrese, we all get to die some day, but this is a chance to immortality, don't you see it?" he asked him

Daphne "I don't think he can" she chuckled and walked past him to meet up with Paul and Daisy who were walking ahead of them

Finally they got to the resurrection water, Daphne was surprised to see it's not guarded, the colour of the water looks very inviting, a mixture of silver and all the colours of rainbow, Tyrese rushed forward as if he wanted to jump in

Poseidon quickly intercepted him "Careful now, you can't jump into the water, else it swallow you up and you never get to resurrect" They all trembled at his statement

Tyrese "Say what now? Does anyone still wanna enter the water?" he turned around and asked the others

Daisy "Out of the way, chicken" she snubbed him

Aphrodite "The resurrection is a gentle receiver, as you can see the rainbow moves gentle across the surface, if you must enter it, you must enter it gentle"

Bruce "That's easy"

Poseidon "One more thing, you must accept that you're going to die and have faith that you're going to be reborn as demigods" he raised his hands up in gesticulation

Tyrese "Oh no, this just gets more difficult.....Uhmm 'xcuse me is there another way to resurrect?" he asked as he became more scared, accepting to die seems more difficult for him, Daphne turned to him and held his shoulders with her two hands

Daphne "I believe in you Tyrese, you can do this" she walked away as she watched Bruce stepped into the water gently and came out on the other side.

Tyrese stared at her as she walked away, the statement gave him a level of confidence, he couldn't comprehend what he saw in her eyes when she looked into his eyes, feeling so lost and over excited she touched him, he watched as Daisy stepped in came out at the other side, followed by Paul

Tyrese "I can do this, I can do this" he murmured to encourage himself, stepped into the water as everyone watched, the water rumbles gently as the rainbow moving on it surface disappeared and reappeared again, the rumbling stopped but no sign of Tyrese, they all moved closer to the edge of the water to see, it seems something had gone wrong, Daphne felt a bit guilty knowing she had encouraged him to step into the resurrection water, Poseidon and Aphrodite seems a bit agitated as they both moved forward, looking to the left and right if they could see him.

Bruce "I don't think he made it" he said soberly, all of sudden they heard a voice behind them

Tyrese "Guys" They all turned around, joy filled their hearts Daphne moved closer to him, smiled "I knew you'd make it" she tapped him on the shoulder as she walked past him, they all walked passed him one after the other smiling, Paul held him by the neck and drag him along. They all turned around to met with Poseidon and Aphrodite who were waiting for them.

Daphne "Now what next?" she asked Perseus and Aphrodite

Poseidon "Now you wait" he said as six creatures in armour appeared from no where and surrounded them with weapons in their hands, they looked around and couldn't find Posiedon and Aphrodite, behold they were all alone.
