"The Force Of Chaos"

Gods & Demigods Alike

The strength of a god has never been limited, not even that of demigods, they all possess limitless powers and they can do anything, until one day, some of the gods began to kill eachother and war broke out that led to the regulation of powers, in order for peace to reign all the gods were forced to appear before the mystic gods of power, who determined which power a god should possess, creating a limit and a barrier to tap into excess power.

Chaos remains the mystic source of metaphysical powers, the realm between gods, demigods and mortals, the void that creates the balance and bring all things together, even the gods knew that in Chaos lies the ultimate power to destroy and bring ruin to everything that was with just a single breathe, "Why would Chaos be given the ultimate power?, who brought up the idea that Chaos should be the source of all metaphysical powers?" This were the questions in Bruce heart as he threw them to Zeus and all the other gods, there was a long decorum in the temple as they all stood before Zeus, Aphrodite, Hermes, Poseidon, Ares and Apollo, for a moment it feels like the temple stood still and spinned around briefly, no one has gotten the gut to question the authority of the gods or Zeus, it was a boldness that couldn't have came from nowhere other than becoming demigods.

Zeus stood up and walked towards Bruce, he could sense the fire in his eyes, the boldness and courage like nothing he has seen before, it reminded him of nothing but himself. " I like the courage you put into asking that question" he paused and continued "Now that you all are demigods, it's time you all understand that gods and demigods are alike, we are both prone to taking the decisions that we seem best" he said as he walked passed them one by one, as the supreme being he could sense the hierarchy in the level of their personality even as demigods "My charge to you is your mistakes are yours to bare" Gods are not allowed to make mistakes, everything we thought of were suppose to go according to plan, but there are no denying the fact that things could get out of hand due to selfishness and personal gratification" They all looked at one another knowing the wisdom of Zeus is been poured out in the plain for them, served like an over spicy food that is difficult to swallow, the plain truth in his words were hard to take in. Daphne understood perfectly what his statement means, as she spoke aloud unconsciously "No matter how hard you try sometimes to put things in order, they just go beyond control and you seem to lose grip of it"

Zeus "Exactly my point" he said

Tyrese "Desperate times, calls for desperate measures" he said

Ares "Making Chaos the source of all metaphysical powers was never a mistake, it was the design of the gods and the mystic gods of power, a consensus that was reached because Chaos was never supposed to evolve"

Aphrodite "If all the gods were contented and never rebelled because of their selfishness, Chaos would have kept it balance and humanity would be safe forever"

Daisy "So the rebellion is the reason the world tipped towards destruction, and the mystic gods became the catalyst of power"

Poseidon "Absolutely" he said as Zeus walked back to his throne, stood briefly and sat.

Zeus "Now that Chaos has become a force to reckon with, you all have the power to stop her and bring the balance that was once were, but you must fight your weakness and tame your inner demons"

Tyrese "Uhmmm! what happened when or if...... you know Chaos feeds on our weaknesses or inner demon?" he asked subtly with fear

Zeus "You'll became a slave to her and you'll lose your will" he said in a tone that send fear down the spine, Tyrese swallowed his spit in such a way everyone could hear.

Tyrese "That's fair enough" he said in a fearful tone

Poseidon "You must guard your heart at all times and make sure you develop the will to resist"

Aphrodite "You will always know her touch in your heart, remember gods and demigods alike, we both have some things in common let it always guide you"

Zeus held his head and subtly whispered "Noooo it can't be" as if he had an intuition something had gone wrong, they all gazed on him, he continued "The forces of Chaos has reached earth and it won't be long before the devastation begin" he stood up and popped up the holographic reality display of the earth, showing that the forces has began attack in China, America, South Africa and Nigeria, taking over peoples heart and forcing them to kill and destroy "I'm sorry it has begun, it's only a matter of time before it escalates to every part of the world"

The forces unseen which are powerful in their unseen form takes control of the mind of any mortals that is without a strong will, with just a whisper into their ears, telling them what to do, to some it tells them to commit suicide with specificity; dropping in their hearts the form of death, either by jumping off the cliff, jumping infront of a moving vehicle or hanging themselves, some it tells them to r**e and whispering into their ears how to go about plotting it, to some it whispers into their ears to kidnap or kill, those that are without a strong will falls prey to the forces of unseen who are working for Chaos, even Police kills for no reason, Senators or commissioners employ assassins to kill, President of nation stealing from their treasury and committing secret act that are specifically whispered into their ears, but those with a strong will overcame the temptations, Zeus looked into the holographic display of the earth as he could see everything happening at once, the sight unnerved him and overwhelmed him at the same time.

Daisy "Now the alternate earth and our reality is under attack simultaneously, this is bad" she said angrily

Paul "This is the reason we all have our powers, what should we do?" He asked with a boldness that encourages the others to stand with great courage.

Zeus "Now you fight, Bruce take your team and retrieve the Orb of Mortals"

Tyrese "The Orb of what now?" he asked

Poseidon "The Orb of Mortals, that's the only thing that can kill Chaos for now, and you need to hurry"

Bruce "Just one question" he paused and continued "How do we locate the orb"

Zeus "The Orb is in the city of Rome behind the great wall of life"

Daphne "And we're supposed to find it how?" She asked out of curiosity

Aphrodite "I believe Paul already got that figured out" She said as they all gazed on him

Paul "Wait seriously? I'm sorry figured what? he asked with absolutely no clue of what she meant, Daisy out of surprise confronted him

Daisy "So you know how to get the Orb of Mortals all these while and you kept quiet" She asked

Paul "No No No No, you guys must be mistaken or something" He looked into Aphrodite eyes, "Please tell them I don't know what you're talking about"

Tyrese "So you're saying, you don't know how to get to the city of Rome?" immediately Tyrese asked the question, it was like something clicked in him and he felt absolutely terrible about saying he doesn't know

Paul "Okay now that you asked in that tone, I think I know" he said looking them all in the eyes and grimaced

Bruce "Okay, if you know them lets go" he urged them all

Zeus "One more thing, I don't know how you're going to it, but you've got to save the alternate earth and also get the Orb of Mortals"

Daphne "How are we supposed to save the alternate earth and get the Orb of Mortals at the same time?" she asked

Zeus "That's left for you to figure out" he said as he relaxed back into his chair.

They all looked into one another eyes with the thought of how it will be possible for them to be in two places at the same time, it's not possible but they know they'll have to figure it out anyway as they walked out from the temple of Zeus into the wild, northside of the temple. Bruce mind was ravished by what Zeus meant by his team back in the temple, he was sure he heard him correctly, does it mean he's in charge? He thought to himself, knowing very well he has to man up, who else could sparehead the team if noth him, Daisy is a little bit edgy, Tyrese no way, he could be an a*s sometimes, Paul obviously is somehow laid back, Daphne is so unpredictable, but he knows eventually either Paul or Tyrese could rise up to the challenge when occasion demands, but for now he's the best logical choice and no one else

Daisy "Does this mean we need to move through time at the same time" she asked aloud

Bruce "Exactly, that's what we're going to do" he answered her

Daphne "How's that even possible?" she asked as Bruce stepped forward and stood in the center while they surrounded him, he knew automatically that he's taking the boldness to lead the team and they are ready to follow.

Bruce "This is what we'll do, we'll divide ourselves into two teams, Daisy and Paul you're with me, while Daphne and Tyrese will go get the Orb of Mortals"

Tyrese "Quick question, how can we get to the city of Rome, when he seems to be the only person that knows the way?" he said pointing to Paul

Bruce who was so confident about his plan looked at Paul, "Paul will have to be at two places at the same time" he said

Daphne "Wait can he do that?" she asked curiously

Paul "Yes I can, but I can only do that by tapping all of your powers at once" he answered

Daisy "Okay, back off right there, did you say tap all our powers at the same time?"

Paul "Yes"

Daisy "Can you do that?"

Paul "Yes I can, when I touch anyone of you, I tend to have your powers briefly for some minutes or thereabout, not just you, anyone with metaphysical power" he said expecting them to be scared, but he was a bit surprised by Tyrese statement

Tyrese "No tell me why I don't have a power like that?" he said sarcastically

Daphne "Says a guy who can control matter" she said by elbowing him softly

Paul "But there's a problem?" he said

Bruce "What might that be?"

Paul "When I to tap your powers, I also get your weaknesses, and I don't know what it might be"

Tyrese "Okay that sucks" he said as he moved back

Bruce "That's fair enough, you'll take Daisy and I to where we'll engage Chaos, then save alternate earth and your double personality will follow Tyrese and Daphne to the city of Rome to get the Orb of Mortals" he said as they aligned themselves in circles

Paul "In order for this to work, you will all need to carve your hands up half way beside you, while we join our hands together" immediately he said it, they joined their hands together as he instructed and instantly a level of energy flowed from all their hands into his and they got sucked into what seems like a void in the air and they appeared both in the alternate earth and the city of Rome at the same time.

Simultaneously Paul could feel himself at two different earth at the same time, a feeling he has never had before, the euphoria of the moment seems to overwhelm him a bit as Daphne could sense it in his eyes

Daphne "Are you okay?" She asked

Paul "Yes, just a bit woozy but don't worry I'll be fine" he said as they noticed that they've been teleported to a dilapidated building with no roof, as smoke filled the air and the cloud turned darker before their very eyes, the only source of light was the little moon in the sky that was struggling to shine through the dark clouds and the presence of fire gulping tall edifice and small debris around them, they all stepped out into the open and lifted their face up to the sky where Chaos was, standing and raining down fire with the swing of his hand; never has there been so much destruction in one place at the same time with people panicking and running helter skelter with no hope, Bruce felt so sad and at the same time angry by the situation, the look in his eyes says it all, as fire fell on a group of people running for their lives, it consumed them to the bones.

Paul "How can one person bring down so much destruction?" He asked in a sad tone

Daisy "This is the reason, we must stop her from getting to our reality" she said as she turned to look in the direction Paul was looking

Bruce "Look out" he shouted and pushed Daphne and Paul away from fire which was aiming directly at them.

"Thanks" They both thanked him

Bruce "You both need to stay sharp" he urged them, the incident alerted Chaos as he turned towards their direction.

Chaos "Finally!" he said "Kill them" he ordered his armies who all of suddenly began charging towards the three of them fiercely with so much anger on their faces as they come from different angles as if they were all remotely controlled.
