A Couple of Hours Earlier
I found Deck in one of the spare rooms across from the one given to me by Ezia's family as my temporary personal quarters during my stay. It was apparently his designated room in the compound since he usually stayed there. Deck had regaled me with stories of his childhood with the Fiore siblings after Ezia kicked the three of us out of her nest. It made me smile, having caught a glimpse of their tight-knit family. They reminded me of my own when they were still alive, and the longing in my heart deepened.
