“Are you sure that was a good idea?” Davin asked as we strode to the breakfast room. He was in business mode, already having arranged the jet and accommodation for our trip to Ireland.
“I know it might seem silly not to lock him up; the truth is that Eva and I are a little screwed right now. A war and no powers to help us? I’m being realistic; the sooner we get our powers back the better. If we take too long we may just lose the war.”
“But what does Matthew have to do with that? If we just put him in the dungeons he’ll be one less threat to worry about.”
“There is no being in this realm who would protect Eva better than Matthew. I saw how he looked at her, he will do whatever it takes. I’m not sure how good he’ll be for her in general, but these are trying times.”
