Eva _____ As the minutes ticked by, the ramifications of my situation sunk in. Ireland. Teleporting had gotten me out of two life-threatening situations; it had happened involuntarily but had it not, I would have died for sure. Now I didn’t even have that. I was powerless. Dreams of my independence died and my spirit with it; I would have to rely on these people to keep me safe. My choices were limited. I could leave, but with two creatures hunting me and no power of my own, what chance did I have? My jaw clenched. No, I was forced to follow the path set out for me. Destiny was a b.itch. Perhaps when I unlocked my full power I’d regain my free will; maybe then I would have options. Yes, then I could choose what to do next. I made up my mind to decide then with a pang of guilt.
