Chapter 13.
Maya's POV.
I couldn't be mad at him because it wasn't entirely his fault; I needed help after all; I was the one who wanted a better life for my child. I had lied from the beginning of the event, and I couldn't take back my words, but at this point. Even if I did, it would only make things worse for me; where would I go if I decided to refute it? I'm basically homeless.
I needed a shelter, a home, a means to survive, and there is no other place or means of getting that except this. I had to do what was needed to be done; I would only be regarded as a rogue if I should the four walls of this pack; I would be prone to so many bad things out there; it's dangerous, and I can easily get killed. I had to accept his offer; I had no other choice after all.
