Chapter 24— Humiliation Dressed In Entertainment. KYRA “You!” Eric pointed, his eyes landing on Maddy. “I’ll have fun with you today, sweetheart.” He dragged his tongue across his bottom lip, staring at her with that sleazy, perverted look that told me exactly what idiotic ideas were bouncing around in his empty skull. Maddy stiffened. Her eyes widened as they darted around searching for an exit as if it were possible to escape this. Her fingers shook as she took one hesitant step forward slow enough that even a snail would’ve won the race if they were both in a race game. “Come sit,” Eric grinned, patting his lap like he was some kind of discount Santa. The smug bastard even wiggled his brows. Was he expecting her to squeal in excitement or be flattered that he invited her— scratch that, practically ordered her to sit on his lap? Maddy froze again, like a deer spotting headlights and realizing the car was being driven by a drunk, in this case Eric. Hell, even sober he’d still act the same way. From where I stood, I could tell her eyes were already glossing over with panic. f**k! I gritted my teeth. Eric wasn’t just an asshole. He was the premium deluxe edition, the kind they wrapped in red flags and sold with warning labels. I narrowed my eyes. Of course, he’d pull this s**t. “Do it!” Callie ordered, making Maddy jump slightly. Maddy obeyed, lowering herself on Eric’s lap. Her back was rod straight, her trembling fingers twisting the edge of her skirt. Eric smiled satisfied. His hand brushed down her arm, almost lazily at first, then his fingers trailed to her side, tracing the edge of her skirt. Maddy inhaled sharply. She went stiff, her eyes glistening as she tried not to move. “You’re going to sit here like a good girl, and take everything I dish out to you hmm?” Anger burned through me like wildfire. This was bullshit. This was idiotic. The annoying part was the Alphas who all sat, watching, some with content. No one was saying a thing, not even Alpha Theron who was busy munching his crackers like this was a TV show he was enjoying. I caught the stupid smile on Elora’s face. I’m pretty sure she would go next and pick me to do something very humiliating. I’m going to scratch her eyes out of their sockets if she dares. The blood pact only protected the Banewolffs. Good thing Elora and her side piece, Reed, weren’t one. When I turned back to Maddy, Eric was leaning in too close, murmuring something near her ear. She flinched. His other hand moved up, cupping her breast in a casual, yet rough way that made bile rise in my throat. This was barbaric. Yes, the convention was invented so that Alphas could cool off, have fun and each Alpha host made sure to take the fun to a higher level, trying to beat the last. But this… this was disgusting to say the least. It was humiliation dressed in entertainment. I couldn’t stand it. I couldn’t stomach what I was seeing. I couldn’t stand by and watch this female I called my friend get molested this way. No, I had to do something. “f*****g stop it!!” The words left me, my feet already moving towards them. I grabbed Maddy’s wrist, pulling her away from him. “She’s done. And women…” I turned to look at all of them. “Aren't chess pieces to play around with. So if you’re looking for entertainment, find it elsewhere or f**k off Eric and the rest of you lots!” Gasps scattered across the room. If I weren’t tied by this stupid blood pact, hell if I wasn’t here in these unfortunate circumstances they all would have heard it from me. Especially the Lunas who were sitting comfortably like this was normal to do. Eric rose slowly, his smile vanishing. “Excuse me?” “You are excused, Eric!” I spat. I pushed Maddy behind me as I faced him. I wasn’t scared of him, never have been. When that intimidating aura worked on everyone it had never worked on me. He growled. “Did you forget who you’re talking to?” He grabbed my arm, his nails digging into my skin with intention. “Maybe you’d like to replace her. Maybe you’re jealous that I picked her and not you,” he mumbled before attacking my neck with a disgusting sloppy kiss. My knee slammed into his groin without a second thought. He left my arm immediately clutching his balls. “That’d be over my dead body. I’d rather mate with a dog. I rejected you before and I will tell that to your face you perverted prick.” The words had barely left my mouth when a force cracked across my face and my head snapped sideways. For a moment I couldn’t breathe. My ears rang. My eyes watered and my cheek burned I pushed down the tears that stung my eyes and looked up to a red-looking Eric. “f**k you!” He ignored me and turned to Callie. “Is this how the Banewolffs train their servants? To disrespect and embarrass guests?! I expected better hosting than this disrespect I get.” He yelled. His vein was straining against his neck but I knew he was more embarrassed than angry. Callie’s mouth thinned. “Apologies, Alpha Eric. Our servants are not usually like this. I will handle her…” “Make sure you do...” He pointed angrily. Callie looked at me with hard eyes. “Apologize to him. Now. Ferguson!” I laughed, feeling the metallic taste of blood in my mouth. “Did you somehow have amnesia during the time you were here? Just in case you did then let me spell it out. Hell to the f*****g NO, Callie!” She gritted her teeth visibly then grabbed my hair tugging me to the door. “Then let’s hear what Alpha Tristan thinks.” She dragged me down the hall, her nails digging into my skin as she did so. I could protest but then that was the most I could do. This stupid blood pact was restricting but then that was its purpose and Tristan was wise enough to think of that. A smart move I’d say. I would never have accepted any bullshit from any of his pack members, especially from this wannabe Luna. The moment we entered Tristan’s office, my heart slammed against my ribs. Alpha Leonard— Leon, I’m still getting used to his name— sat opposite him going through some documents. He gave a small invisible nod in my direction which reminded me of last night. Our piano session and the late-night conversation. Callie’s voice was the one that snapped me back to the present. “Your servant has disrespected your guest, Tris— Alpha Tristan.” Funny of her to say I disrespected Eric when she could have told him what happened. But then again who was to know that Tristan wasn’t aware of this humiliating game? “If you call that disrespect then I wonder what you will call the main disrespect…” “Will you shut it!” Callie cut me off. I opened my mouth to speak when Tristan began to speak. “By the blood pact, you do as Callie and my guests request of you without question or hesitation.” I gasp. I wasn’t sure if it was due to his words or the invincible grip I felt in my chest. Like my blood was turning against me. No. He couldn’t do this to me. He couldn’t force me to do Eric’s bidding. “You can’t do this. You don’t understand. I didn’t—” “Shut up!” Callie ordered and my mouth sealed just like that. My heart raced. I’ve heard of the blood pact, known what it entails, but I’d never seen it in action until now and it was scary. This b***h could literally order me to kill myself and I would do it without thinking. I looked at Tristan pleadingly. Goddess, I’ve never felt this hopeless but instead he nodded at Callie. “That should solve it, Callie. I’m in the middle of an important meeting with the Alpha king.” Callie threw Leon a charming smile. “Forgive my manners, Your Majesty. It’s just that some servants can’t be tame.” Tristan waved us away and Callie smiled pulling me behind. By the time we returned to the entertainment room, my chest felt so tight I thought I would combust which would be better compared to the horror I was going to face inside now. Anybody in there has the power to request anything from me. Eric was back on the couch, Maddy perched miserably on his lap. Callie pushed me forward. “She’s all yours now, Alpha Eric. You can do as you please.” Eric’s grin had returned. “Perfect.” He placed Maddy to stand before walking up to me tracing a finger along my chin. I bit down the bile, my eyes almost swarming with tears that were born from anger, humiliation. If I ever find a way out of this pact, I’d hunt Tristan Banewolff. “For refusing me earlier, Kyra. Get down on your knees.” Eric ordered. My will to fight off his order was strong, but my body was fighting against me. The strain of my refusal cinched a band around my chest. “f*****g get down on your knees, Ferguson, and bark like a dog that’s the only way I will accept your apology!” Eric yelled. My forehead broke out in sweat. My legs wobbled, wanting to do as he ordered. A stab through the meat of my stomach caused my nostrils to flare as I clamped down on a scream as my knees hit the floor and my palms pressed to the cold floor. And to my horror, my mouth opened and… “Woof.” The room erupted in snickers, feeding off my humiliation. Elora laughed the hardest, clutching her stomach like this was the best entertainment she had seen all year. Even Eric didn’t laugh as loud as she did. “Again!” He ordered. “This is even more fun than I imagined.” I swallowed the burn in my throat, preparing for another humiliating sound to scrape out of me when a thunderous bang tore through the room as the door flung open. “What the hell is going on?!”
