“Where are you going?” Kalyn asked when she walked past Dakota.
“Rick is acting strange,” Dakota said.
“Tell me about it, he instructed me to meet him in his room. Do you know anything?” Kalyn plaid stupid.
“Something about you being ready to try for another baby,” Dakota said, her eyes welling up with tears at the thought of Rick with another woman.
“What? Why? Can’t he just wait for this one to be out. I thought you two are like a thing now?” Kalyn continued her façade.
“I am sorry that you have to go through this against your will, just be strong,” Dakota said, before walking away, not sure where to go with her things.
Kalyn wanted to do a happy dance but kept it inside.
“Rick, I am ready,” Kalyn said, knocking on the open bedroom door.
“Come in,” Rick said.
