“No,” I muttered. My hands hung down and my eyes fixed on the stiff body of my best friend. “Roy, no… please…” I stuttered. My hands were trembling as I tried to lift him up, but instead we ended up falling flat on our faces.
Tears welled in my eyes but I didn't let a drop lose. This is just overwhelming and I am shocked but what can I do? Even if I yell for help no one will hear me because this place is a little further from the Pack’s main camp.
I forced myself, crawling quickly to his side. “Roy, please wake up,” I whimpered. I held his head up and the tears I had been trying to hold back streamed down my eyes. My throat clutched dry, my thoughts littered everywhere.
This is just impossible. I saw him a few minutes ago. He was doing well so why is he looking lifeless all of a sudden?
