“Andrew!” Agnes screamed. “Andrew! Come back!”
Andrew grabbed the post and clung there, gasping at the chill. He looked very white as he lifted a hand in acknowledgement. The Sidh continued to glide across the water, slowly decreasing the distance to Andrew.
“Andrew!” Agnes screamed again. “Look out!”
“What is it?” Andrew shouted back.
“Behind you! Look behind you!”
Andrew turned around, to see the Sidh produce a short bow that had been slung across his back. Standing on the water, the Sidh pulled back the bow, took deliberate aim and fired at Andrew.
“Andy!” Agnes screamed with Baby Robert joining in.
The arrow missed, landing in the post with a soft thud. As the Sidh fitted a second arrow to his bow, Andrew lunged forward, while we all yelled encouragement.
